22' Rear Door and Awning

Hey Gang. I'm currently looking at (via email) a 22' Rear Door Argosy. One question that has come up is how a Zip Dee or similar would mount and operate with the rear door. Hinges are mounted to the aft. Any thoughts, experiences or suggestions appreciated!

Best,
Ryan

I have a 74 22' rear door that I have redone. Haven't replaced the awning yet, but there was one on there when I got it. Didn't have the legs, so I have removed it. I love the layout of the rear door, and removed the front gaucho and replaced it with a custom made matress. Since it is just my wife and I traveling, it works out well.

So the awning you had was a pole-and-rope type? I'm trying to avoid that set up if I end up with this camper, but a ZipDee would obviously pose some interference issues.

No, it mounted on the top in a box, and I am assuming that it had arms that came down the side. I should have used the terms arms instead of legs! There are some brackets at the top, but nothing at the bottom. At some point I will replace the material and find new arms for it. Can't remember the name of the awning, and I am out of town for another week.
