New to the Stream World!

Hello!
Just bought my 1973 Airstream Sovereign about 3 days ago (for a steal!) and already stoked about the remodel! Luckily everything externally as well is the "guts" of the trailer is extremely well taken care of. It just seems to be a pretty large cosmetic job. Good thing I have the need to make it wonderful! Maybe not so good for my husband. However, he is pretty excited about it as well! Anyhow, just wanted to introduce myself!
As fair warning, I will most likely drive you all batty with my questions and such. So, apologies already.

Attached are pictures of our new love! We affectionately named her Myrtle.

Well, the inside needs some work. :sly: but that is no surprise! I will grab a picture of the rest of the interior in a bit.

Welcome aboard. Just curious, how do you know that the "guts" are all well taken care of? Have you checked for rust on the frame and rot on all the edges of the floor, particularly in the rear? Are the axles original, from one photo they look like they may be sitting fairly low. Just make sure that all the hidden structure is intact before you get too involved with cosmetics.

I had a professional check everything before we started on cosmetics. The axels are good at this time but we will eventually need to replace them.

I need to replace part of the floor in the front but other than that the floor is in great condition. The rear floor is almost in perfect condition.
