A companion tune to
"Drifter's Wind"
on the other thread.
Rest in Peace
"Zen Cowboy"
[click on URL for Full Screen etc. options]
"You can dam the river
You can change the river's course
You can deepen the river
'Til it gathers force
You can swim it you can sail it
You can drown in the undertow
But you can't push the river
That mighty river's just going to flow"

Nomadland
Have you seen Nomadland yet?
A somber slice of life on the road . . . the trailer is available here:
https://www.amazon.com/Nomadland-Fra...9919229&sr=8-1
A good soundtrack, with this tune resonant to these ears:

"Shine a Different Way"
Yup!
"I’m gonna let it be the sun
In more ways than one
Run out of its horizon
I’m gonna let it be the night
For I have had my day
Dancing at the back door"
. . .
"I’m gonna let it hear the prayer
No matter who is there
No matter who is listening
I’m gonna let the dream tell me
What it has always known
The moonlight and the glistening
The moonlight and the glistening
The moonlight and the glistening waves"

Lucius -- "Two of Us" live
A great live version of Lucius singing this fine one.
[click on the URL at the top, for a new window/frame with Full Screen etc. options]
A studio version is the theme music for Jeff and Coffee's 2019 video posted on their recent thread -- "The End of the Road" . . . [hot link in blue]. The lyrics are posted over there.

Lucius is breathtaking IMO.

“I’d Rather Be a Memory Than a Fool”
Great tune on XM 62 this morning . . .
“I’d rather take my chances on whatever lies ahead.
We both need a different point of view.
“If I could turn this pencil over and erase the hurt you said
you’d find me coming running back to you
but I’d rather be a memory than a fool.”
Somber enough for ya?
Yee Ha!

Peter, I'm embarrassed to say this is my first post here on your thread. I had NO IDEA how big a treasure trove you all have here; this is going to take me months, maybe years, to get through the two threads! This is an amazing source.
Of course having just jumped in and not looking back, I may be repeating an earlier post, but I just found out about this group a couple nights ago while surfing YouTube, which is a fun pastime for me. There is nothing like filming a live studio performance to hear the musicianship up front. Thanks again for the invite, Peter. I appreciate it.

I try to walk/hike every day. Some days it's just three miles, others 4, 6, or 8 miles. On those days I didn't feel like walking much, I would put on Delvon Lamarr's trio to help me with my pace. They never failed.

When I was a kid, my friends were listening to Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones...but I was listening to Glen Campbell; I had all his albums, including the one with Bobbi Gentry.
I imagine this video has already been posted, so forgive me. I imagine somewhere up there the baseball giants are standing around the batting cage and Babe Ruth asks Henry Aaron to step in and take a few cuts. That's how I see this group of musicians.

Thanks Jeff for the great tunes, and "well-said" thoughts!
I am just back home from the first full play day with the grandkids in a long time . . . a nice touch of normal comfort sneaking back into life! That recent video with Glen Campbell, and the other "giants," also resonates "comfort" here. Nice to see them all together.
A reminder for everyone, that by clicking on the YouTube URL at the top of the frame, the video will open in a new tab/window/frame, with Full Screen etc. options available. Well worth it for every YT video [vs. just an audio YT link] IMO, including your amazing travel videos through the years.
As it says below . . . ---->
