Argosy motor home for sale in Florence, Oregon

We took the kids out to the coast for a last trip before school starts tomorrow and drove by this little beauty.
We're not in the market (sadly) but I thought someone might be out there searching.

It's for sale at a place called Florence RV Consignments.
Their phone number is (541) 902-0741.
It's listed by them as a 1976, 23 footer.
The place was closed when we drove by, but I took some pics of the exterior.
Asking price is $15k. I know no more about it, and in fact I know next to nothing about motorhomes in general.

For those who don't know, Florence is on the central Oregon coast about 60 miles West of Eugene.

Hope this helps someone,
Brian

i could be wayyyyyyy OFF but think i recognize that unit....

extensively remodeled for/by a airstream sales person...in about 93 or so.

interior redone and imron style paint job south of seattle....

if it IS the coach i'm recalling...

it is very nice...

is it 23 or 20?...yea looks like 23...thesea are some manuverable because the rear overhang is short...no dragging.

wrap around windows in the rear with is a goucho sofa/bed/dining area. real shower a toiilet. 20-30 gallon water i think?

should have smaller tires/wheels and execpt for the airsteam shell isn't much bigger than a stretched freightliner or extended cab e350 van. or the airstream b van conversions....except for width...

these are really cool motorhomes...
they can go anywhere and are easy to drive...

think of a bambi or minuet with a motor....

really these are cool and the shell looks unblemished...

get us more info...

cheers

I saw it there aboout two weeks ago...

...but I was late leaving Florence on an appointment, and didn't get to look it over.

I think the owners of the consignment lot have been there since the business started. Several years ago, we looked at a 34' Limited they had - they were very accomodating and gave us the information they had, plus left us in the unit for an hour or so while we went through it.

I do business with a lot of businesses in Florence, and don't know of any complaints about them.

Thanks for posting the info and the pics Brian - I thought about it as I was leaving Florence, but it was just a 'passing thought' I guess(!)

It did look really cool, and would look even better towing our Bambi, but do to a lack of winning lottery tickets that ain't gonna happen.

I couldn't get inside, but peering through the windows, it had three captain's chairs, the third being behind the passenger. That chair had a small table in front of it. The rear was a sofa/dining area that I assume made into a bed. The inside looked like it was from the seventies, but it's hard to tell through the dirty windows.

That's all I know. If anyone wants to buy it and donate it to our family that would be OK with us. Honest it really would, we wouldn't mind at all. We'd even drive out there to pick it up.

Hope it finds a good home.

Cheers,
Brian
