Argosy Motorhome Manual & Brochures WANTED

I made this request a while back (below), and got a manual for my 1977 Argosy motorhome. Using the manual, I was able to determine that I have a 1975 motorhome, not a 1977! So, I would now like to locate an Owners Manual and/or Shop Manual for a 1975 Argosy motorhome. Also, if anyone has any Argosy sales brochures, I would be in the market for those also. Can anyone out there in Airstreamland help? Email rik@armory.com or call 831.429-1145. Many thanks!!

Rik,

I have a 75 manual if you want it, If you want to I will just trade you for it. You send me the 77 back, and I will send you the 75. what length is you motorhome? The reason I ask is that I do not think they made a 28 FT in 1975. Let me know and I will check on that for you.

Brett

How much do those manuals run? A great Airstream guy sent me a copy of his service manual for an 84-85 series, mine is an 82. It seems like most applications are the same, especially wiring diagrams and such.

The ones I am sending to Rik are extra originals that came with my coach. Quite often the can be had at larger Airstream rally flea markets for a song. I got a 77 factory service manual for my TT for 10.00. I have a 78/79 service manual that the PO bought from Secretarial services. They charge 35-40 bucks for a manual and up to 70 for a service manual.

I realize this thread is pretty ancient now, but just in case any newbies, like me, come wondering in, Bobchevy gave the following invaluable advise:

You can get a owners or service manual from Helen Davia Secretarial Ser.
PO BOX 484
Sidney Oh.45365
Ph#937-492-8885
runs about $35.00

I called and was able to get a users manual for my '75 Argosy, now all I need is a service guide, any one offering?

Cheers,

Andrew

I just obtained a manual from secraterial services. Price is $60.00
BUT remember what ever you need to fix, It is not covered in the manual.
I need it for 3 things and they were not in the manual.
But better than nothing.

When you are checking which year manuals you need, remember chassis year and AS sold as year not necessarily the same. Looking for chassis parts for my 2000 AS, it has a 98 chassis that Chevy labeled as 1999. Specific part I need right now can be from 97-99 chevy p-32 or GMC truck 3500. but when I go to auto parts store call it a p-30.

Original manuals

When I purchased my Argosy two years ago, the owner had included two manuals. one original, and one copy, even though the year is not the same as my trailer, I have a 1979.

If this looks desirable, I can copy and pass it along.
cheers

Hi Brett and a Rik,

I have an electronic copy of a 1976 Owner's manual which I would be happy to share. Do you have a copy of a 1977 owners manual or service guides or anything relating to a '77 ?

I'd be very grateful if you do - it would help unravel a few of our Argosy's mysteries ;-)

Regards
Beverly

I have electronics copies of my service manual and owners manual for my 1976 (including the additional 1970s wiring diagram) if you would like. The service manual is pretty much going to be the same for all Argosy Moho because they are all built on the same chassis.

Patrick, welcome to Airforums! There aren't a lot of 20' Argosy owners out there so welcome to the small club

The manuals Nick pointed to are pretty much all that is available for the 74 Argosy. Airstream did create an owners manual for the 74 model year but it's not all that great. I could probably copy mine if you don't have one of the Owners manuals.

By all means post more pictures of your Argosy and tell us more about it.

Brad
