Something Missing
I got mine a few days ago. Best issue yet!
But in Rich Charpenter's article: "The Silver Survival Pod", he left out something I thing is absolutely necessary to stock in a survival situation..
FIREPOWER!! He doesn't mention anything about having a firearm and having the skill and the will to use it if necessary.
If Katrina has taught us anything, it is that we cannot rely on the police/government to keep us safe in times of disaster. As with water, food, and shelter, we must rely on ourselves for our personal protection from the lawless.
"Don't leave home without one" (I don't) ....and be legal, get a concealed carry permit (unless you are one of the unfortunates who live in states without "shall issue" permit laws)

I still haven't received mine here in Spotsylvania, VA. I've already contacted Rich. Here is his reply on 5/14:
Hi Bob
Spring was mailed about May 3, so if it doesn't arrive in another week,
let me know and I'll replace it for you. Unfortunately, I have no
method to trace this. The post office says they should arrive in
three weeks but my experience has proven this is not reliable. The
post office doesn't even guarantee delivery! (Don't get me started on
that ...!) So all we can do is replace the ones that don't arrive.
Sorry!

I'll give the Post Office until 24 May. Rich does a great job replacing lost issues. I just wish the PO would do a better job delivering.

Another obvious example of the “ Canadian Conspiracy
OMG my beer was made in Canada too!!
The conspiracy was revealed in the 1985 documentary linked above...
Lorne Greene: There's no connection whatsoever between Lorne Greene and Green Card.
Anne Murray: Well, there *has* to be a connection between Lorne Greene and the Green Card. Because all the people I know who have Green Cards know Lorne Greene

I wonder if it is because Airstream life is a "small" magazine that it gets such rotten treatment from the PO? My Trains and Classic Toy Trains always arrive on time. Smithsonian is the same always on time.......
I for one love the Canadain connection in life. I prefer it to Aisa.

Here I sit in Swampsville, GA, and no new issue. My previous ones also did not get to me without Rich's intervention, so now I have the mailman and our RV park manager looking out for it, and I'm checking every day.
It's amazing to me that BILLS never have any trouble going through, but if it's something I *WANT* I'll be the very last to get it.

Salem, Va on snail's path
The mail snail made it thru Salem, Va today. That's only 16 days in delivery pipe line!
Great articles do make it worth the wait.

Airstream Life Magazine
Greetings all,
Actually, we do the mailings for Rich for all new subscriptions & back issues. We received our shipment of magazines on the 9th of May from the printer & did our first mailing of that issue the next day. New subscriptions go out Priority mail as we usually receive them after the regular mailings are sent out. The regular ongoing subscriptions are sent from a different location through the regular mail channels.
Thanks,
Colin
PS It's another great issue! Hats off to Rich & his crew.

I was hoping my subscription would come today (we're a new subscriber)-as we're heading out for a week of camping in the morning. Guess I'll have to take along my search a word instead!

No Airstream Life in Germany yet... It´s not snailmail it is more a sort of pigeonmail, probably an old one that flys slower and deeper than it should... Hope it arrives before next weekend so that I can take it with me to danmark...
