I guess that is one way to get around deciding which tow vehicle / hitch combo to use...

Is it coming or going?
The front's going frontwards and the back's going backwards. What a conversion! All that work and they mated it to a Dodge Caravan. It should take the lead on a caravan trip.

We've seen that thing before in the Sarasota area. All I can say is I'm glad someone else has seen it, too. I thought we were hallucinating!
I'd guess that started with a whole lotta beer and "I betcha cain't!"

That is so wrong in so many ways. If nothing else, why did they choose a Caravan? We had one of those for several years, and it could barely reliably move ITSELF down the road, let alone with a trailer welded to it's butt! But hey, some people LIKE buying a new tranny every couple years, so they must have thought it was perfect
I agree with the beer theory!

The other side… of the motor home I mean!
Porky, I did hang around for a while to talk with the owner but they did not show up. I could have gone in and made myself a cup of coffee, they left the thing wide open.
The plate shows it is registered in Quebec. Imagine this vehicle in the Quebec snow!!!

Didn't know what they had and then they made it worthless by grafting it to a hunk of junk. At least the VW (Wewind) had some charm to it.
Looks like a Mid 50's Safari to me.

OK, Steph...
Since this is soooo bizarre, and no one seems to have spoken with the owner, it's appropriate to conjecture at this point. Given the cost of construction and the superb engineering coupled with the absurd choice of chassis, it is my guess that this is undoubtedly powered by a mid-engine Ferrari V-12... that is hidden under the rear bed that is in the front... behind the driver's seats...
OK, maybe I AM hallucinating!!!!
Anybody got another beer?
Roger

And has anyone mentioned the modern windows installed all around. The poor thing is just a shell of it's former self!

Aaron.. a rhetorical question... if you start with a total wreck, is it possible to wreck it more?

Actually, it looks a bit more curvaceous to be a Safari...the windows are obviously modified, but I think the body once was a late forty-something, pipe frame, 22' Liner with those distinctive round end caps or maybe a '50 Flying Cloud.
Any pictures of the butt which I concur once was the tongue? Is it round in plan view or squared off?

I think there may actually be a reason for the window change! Those are motorhome style windows and can be opened while the vehicle is in motion.
