What I don't understand is why it even matters.

As near as I can tell the Motorhome side of the house is a pretty tight group that doesn't really cause any problems......

You know, I was just trying to head off a problem when this thread started and people started clamoring for parts.

If you watch the board, you will not see threads with folks selling items, except in Classifieds. Because that is where items are to be solicited for and sold here.

I just urged caution.

I was trying to be helpful and friendly, but that apparently didn't work.

My mistake.

Easy on fellas.

It isn't the first time Maggie has slapped my wrists (you should have seen my post on costing the WALL), trust me, it probably won't be the last. My sense of humour does get me in trouble.

Now I agree that no parts were specifically mentioned or monetary amounts discussed but we should abide by the forums rules (we are slightly out numbered).

Sorry Maggie, but we are a pretty close knit bunch of wacko's desperately trying to keep 30+ year old coaches alive and running with no factory parts or back up. Every year we see a number of these Queens of the Road go up in smoke and small accidents that cause enough damage to cause insurance companies to total them.

You never know, maybe one day we'll all be driving Interstates and Maggie will be the sage we need advice from.

Thank you Maggie for trying to keep this site organised and friendly.

Cheers
Tony

Take a look at this thread from the trailer resto forum. This member is selling out of his part, time after time, post after post after post. So.....your statement about watching the board just isn't the case. "you should know better" come on. Just "lighten up Francis"!!

Are you talking about his thread that was closed a week or so ago, because parts were being sold on it?

If you don't like the rules here, take it up with the administrators.

If you see a post or thread that violates the rules, please report it because we sometimes miss things.

I haven't posted on this thread yet and made a fool of myself as I often do. It's a long weekend. So with time on my hands here I go. I'm sure we are all thankful for the forums existing. Where would we be without them? Just a bunch of isolated jerks all making the same mistakes or asking the same questions. In order to avoid total chaos we need rules and guidelines. Fortunately we have people who do the thankless job of organizing and maintaining things. Maggie, I for one would like to thank you for your efforts. I'm sure nobody was trying to avoid the rules and just misunderstood. To my fellow forum mates, this isn't worth getting upset over. Airstreams were always associated with chill'n and relaxing in my mind. Anyway, I'm heading for make a fool out of myself again by rambling on. Let's all chill and move on.
