Backup Camera System

Backup camera system on my 1992 Land Yacht MH doesnt work. Its a Sony system. The monitor has power, screen lights up but no picture. Does anyone have suggestions where to start? Should I try to have my B/W system repaired or replace it with a color system? Is the installed wiring ok for a color system? What about a new wireless system.

Thanks

CarlGeo

Is the camera powered? Can you plug a video camera in or anything that can transmit a video signal over coaxial cable instead of the backup camera, and pess play and see if you have a picture?

Camera and Cable Source ... http://rearviewsystems.com/

I plugged one end of the cable into the camera and cut the other end to expose the wires for splicing to the motor home cable later. Mine was hard wired to the camera. I've attached the diagram for the new camera.

The existing wires in the Airstream are:
RED = POWER
BLACK = GROUND
WHITE = AUDIO
CLEAR = VIDEO

The bracket is smaller so new holes need to be drilled and the old ones plugged.

Good Luck, Dan
