Using an iPad Airforums app, is there a way to view the member photos?

While using my laptop, I will occasionally pull up the member photo uploads and view them. However, there doesn't seem to be anyway to do this using the iPad Airforums app.

Any thoughts? Or is it just not possible with the iPad app?

Unfortunately there is no way.... but if you are using an ipad, try just viewing the forum using the safari browser. It should work well

Oh but there is a way.....When I use my iPad it does not look like the same page as my laptop. However, when I am on a thread, using my iPad, I go to the top of page and see the name of the thread at the top. Not the blue print but a couple lines down is the black print. When I click on that (black print name of the thread) it changes it to look just like my PC. ......with that said I don't think i'm using safari because I only have my Airforums app open.

You are right Tiger. Every day I learn something new is a better day. All are good; some better than others.

We just bought my son's IPad2, which I am enjoying but grumbling through the learning curve.

Our plan is to use this on the road, but it is more different from the laptop than I thought it would be.

I thought my iPod would be more difficult than my laptop. It's a quick learn. Can't remember the last time I even turned the laptop on. I do use the desk top from time to time to post pics mostly. If you have questions about the iPad, I'm sure you will find answers here.

I have looked at the Forum app on my iPad2 and it just isn't the same, so I still use the version I'm used to on the laptop. The pages are very different and while I found a way to get them in the way I am accustomed, I couldn't do it twice because I couldn't remember what I did. The iPad2 is good for consuming media, but not so good for interacting. The learning curve is steep in some ways. I read a book on it before it arrived and that helped, but I don't use most of the options anyway.

Well! That's your problem Gene. You read the book. Who does that? LOL. This was sent from my iPod. I admit it takes some getting use to and it's easier to make fat finger errors on this little keyboard. But I manage to do that on the desk top as well.

Oh yah! Memory is the first thing to go, I forgot the second. LOL. One of my problems is, I keep doing the same thing over and over, expecting to get different results. Duhhh!

Typing on an iPad or smaller device does keep posts shorter. The book helped, but I forgot most of what I read.

As a person who doesn't txt, typing on the IPad is difficult.

Got one of those covers for it that props it up like a photo frame, which helps.

I bought a wireless keyboard for it from an aftermarket company—much cheaper than going through Apple. It works ok and I haven't had any real use for it yet. I figured I might need it and better to think ahead than not.

Tiger's info on viewing the forums is great. This is much better than the app. I have a ZAGG keyboard for iPad2. Works nicely.

Having a separate keyboard kinda defeats its' convenience, though,

I'll just try to adapt. I'm tired of adapting, though. There should be a time limit on adapting. Once you're over 60 or retired, everything should be magically simple.

I'm closing in on 67 and typing this on my iPod. Adapting is not easy, but I think it keeps me from forgetting things. NOW where was I?

I don't have any problems typing on an iPad. But my one or two finger poke and hope method never had any problems on a keyboard either. Lol

Maybe I should change my name to coyote. As in "Wile E".

I stumbled across it by my poke and hope method. I'm not afraid to go where no man (or woman) has gone before. Which has got me into trouble before.

Now if I could only learn how to type with more than two fingers.

A problem with typing on the iPad is there is no cursor and correcting mistakes takes too long. Maybe those other 8 fingers are for correcting mistakes.
