Bitmap to jpeg

I'm trying to post some bitmap images. The forum does not want to allow this . Does anyone know how to majically turn these into jpeg? Thanks

you can email them to me... and I can POOF them into JPEG form with my trusty old Paint Brush Pro 7 program... Then email them back to you..

Many photo shop programs such as Film Factory and photoshop allow you to export the images in a variety of formates. This would be easier than shipping them electronically all over the country. Simply export them to a new file on you computer and then upload the proper format.

Yes, the Forums does allow bitmaps. Bad news is that filesize is so large for what you see that bitmaps quickly exceed what can be uploaded to Forums. Easiest solution without the fancy software? If you have a PC open the bitmap in Paint. Select 'Save As' under the file menu and change 'Save as type:' to jpeg. Presto -- a much smaller file!

'Save As' will leave the original bitmap pic as a separate file on your computer -- a good thing since jpeg compression artefact is not the nicest way to treat an original file.
