AirstreamClassifieds.com Upgraded
I just wanted to give you all a heads up that AirstreamClassifieds.com has been upgraded. It should work a little better as the software running the site was REALLY dated. Please report any bugs or issues here.

Andy, the Move/Delete command seems inoperative. [on edit: my bad. yes it works normally ... once I check the box at ad bottom. ]
Commands to manipulate your ad are in a new location. Hover your cursor over the 'Product Options' tab at the upper right corner of your ad. A menu will drop down with choices to edit (add pictures!) or mark your ad sold.
The old classifieds photo attachment limit was 360 x 360 pixels. The upgrade seems to resize images down. I'll experiment how flexible this is and post back here. Still ... don't expect it to take a full sized digital camera file.

Hi, Andy,
I've been using the classifieds to search for a used RV for about a month and my only complaint, from the buyer side, is that it often appears that RVs have already been sold or sellers just don't answer when a buyer posts a question. I posted to several because we were ready to take a look and BUY and got no response at all. Am I just looking in the wrong place for responses????? Is there some way to "force" sellers to mark their unit as SOLD when it sells??? THX!!!

socdiva,
Thanks for the feedback.
It appears that the person posting an ad had to manually opt-in to receive an email when a comment was posted. I have changed the setting so all future ads posted will be opted in by default and cannot be changed. We need to make sure buyers and sellers are able to communicate easily.
Regards,
Andy

Hi Andy, it would be nice if one could sort and/or search by AS length. For example, I know I would be interested in 25 feet and sometimes I see the length in the title but sometimes it isn't and I can't sort by length. It would also be great if you could set some criteria of what you are interested in (length range, age range, price, etc.) and get an email daily or weekly with new matches.
Thanks.

"views" counter - what's measured?
I noticed this evening that the count of "views" on the ad for our 2003 Classic 25' is skyrocketing... while it would be nice if it were that popular, I'm wondering if the counter is now counting each time a photo within an ad is viewed? If so, that's not so helpful - it's the number of times the ad is viewed in its entirety that is of interest. Can you shed some light on this? Thanks!
Patricia (and George)

user497 - thanks for the feedback. I will talk to the programmers and see what we can do about creating some filters as you suggested. I can't give an ETA but we will look into adding this.
ghatfield - I was able to test and confirm your issue. I found a discussion on the software vendors site where others have also reported the same issue. I implemented the fix that others reported to work so let's keep an eye on things and see how it goes. I also let the software vendor know we were experiencing the issue as well (so they know it's effecting more customers).

Just....... THANKS!
ANDY:
I view the website, more often now then ever before, and just wanted to pass along a big THANKS for all you do (and all the others that work on various portions) to keep the site functioning. I sincerely wish I knew more about computers so as to offer you some help. Interested in teaching?
Regards, Steelegood.

Steelgood, thanks for the kind words. We have an amazing team here that helps keep the community and classifieds running smoothly, it's a big group effort. The classifieds have really matured in the last couple years, it's wild to see so many listing now-a-days. It's a great example of how the ad supported internet can bring services to people free of charge.
