Customer Feedback Forum?

Hi,
I am not sure if this area exists but we have been customers of a large (and growing!) number of shops and traders. Is there a Forum where we could share our experiences of them- both good and less good?
I think this would be a useful resource for enthusiasts.

Regards
Eddie

Hello Eddie. I would suggest the Dollars & Cents area. Within that section, a number of people have used the Buyer Guidelines subforum to post along the lines of your query.

Eddie, looks like Bob answered your initial question. One thing to keep in mind is that the forum should not be used as a vehicle to resolve a dispute with a vendor.

Here's a copy of our community rules regarding this area.

Dealer/Vendor and Customer Disputes:
This forum is not intended to be a mechanism for people to vent frustrations about vendors or sales from private parties. Please settle your differences with the seller, manufacturer and dealer through the long-established legal or arbitration systems or the Better Business Bureau but not through our community.

If you have questions regarding whether a post meets those standards, please contact a moderator. We will be glad to review your intended post if you wish.

Regards,

Jack

the old AIRSTEAM CORPORATE forums had a specific thread JUST for doing this...

as i recall the thread title was "cheers and jeers" or "thumbs up/down" or some play on those words.

FOLKS could post good or BAD customer/product experiences.

and that's exactly what people did.

most posts were BRIEF and to the point on ANY a/s related product/service issue.

there were very few vitriolic posts and no long arguments.

a/s did not officially respond to any comment IN the thread so "disputes" were not part of it...

but i suspect the mods edited the occasional REALLY NASTY post.

after a few 100 posts there were many positive and negative comments.

it may have been the single MOST USEFUL THREAD on their forums...

and it could work HERE too.

there are MANY threads here reporting bad outcomes on a variety of products, services or buying experiences...

disputes only happen when BOTH sides repeatedly counter and argue the issues.

keep the 'reckoning' by each party separate or limited, and shaazaam no dispute.

cheers

Customer Feedback Forum

Hi Bob,
To be a useful resource I think you would need a single forum for the intended purpose.

I can understand concerns on misuse but a few simple rules and relying on peoples good sense should do it.

What do others think?

Anyway, here is our feedback:
Fletchers Trailer Sales- Bill, really nice guy, very helpful. Lots of advice. Gave a full inspection on a 64 Globetrotter. Pleasure to do business with.
Vintage Campers.com- Dan, gave full inspection details on 2 trailers for us. Good honest opinion. Good value and offered to store trailer for year at no charge. We chnged our mind on buying an Avion but he was really cool about it. Would definately go to them again.
Vintage Trailer supply- Nice people. Lots of good helpful advice. Service got a bit flakey at times- never told us some parts were on back order. We thought they were lost!
Vintage Awnings- Kristi Foster- We just loved the awning we got for our '66 Caravel. Super quality and very good value. Pleasure to deal with.

All the best
Eddie & Miranda
