We also had a problem with bathroom door. It would hit on the handle of the storage compartment above the pantry. I took the handle off and took about 1/8" off its base with a belt sander. Can't tell and the bathroom door now clears.

Have no visible return .Must be in some other area. Will check re: round hot air feed.

We have used the Heat Pump for better heating. Also while using Furnace for heat we use a Dyson Heater/Fan to supplement if needed.

I figure the first units out the door are "Test Unit's" (Beta Unit's). And we have been to JC before and you do hear/see some "Bad " thing's. Did you get all your problem's solved ??

Might take compressor along to Blow lines out if needed. Had to do that when we got home March 20 .

Our JC appt. is the 25th. will let you know results. I might send you my "To Do List"

I finally saw one of these 26U models at Airstream of Los Angeles today and wow I like the floor plan. Very nice model, I understand now why you guys are boasting. If we were going for a longer model, this would be it.

While shopping, we looked at the 26U ourselves. The only concern we had was having to constantly convert the table into a bed. In fact, if it wasn't for that, we probably would have ended up with the 26U. I really liked the front area for company or even for just sitting around. But with three of us, the table would have to be converted every night for sleeping.

So, I'm curious. For those of you who have the 26U, anybody have more than just two people on a regular basis? If so, how do you find the sleeping arrangements?

You are right on regarding sleeping arrangements for 3 individuals. Table would need to be made into a bed each time. Our unit has twin beds for the two of us. Two retrievers sleep on the floor between us....untill one of them quietly hops up onto my side and snuggles right in.

Do consider the twins as the space between the beds makes for a great and easy dressing area.

Just a thought....if you had the twins, you could fabricate a bridge of 3/4" plywood between the two beds, come up with some type of mattress arrangement and now you have a King sized bed. Of course, the 3 of you would have to be compatible. I've seen this done in other AS layouts.

And the bathroom is to die for....

knunut.....no, we didn't have any work done at JC. Just showed them our concerns and got some advice. We use JC as a first night stop when going south on I75. I'ts a 5 hour trip for us. I'll make an appointment come fall after seeing what else shows up.

I'd like to hear how your list gets handled. The staff all seem like careful, thought full individuals.

We had to do the same thing. The top of our bathroom door doesn't line up with the trim. The top of the wall is slightly angled inwards at the door side, creating this problem. Since the top of the hall walls are simply siliconed in place, I getting my nerve up to make the adjustment myself.

I like the Door hitting the Handle. Thinking of putting "strong" magnet on door so it stick's to handle. We use the door as a privacy "curtain" instead of pulling out the curtain.
Help's vent moisture out after shower. Bathroom is even Larger!
Will post our JC result's.

For a quick single bed, without using table tops, pull off the back cushion and two corner cushions.

Sent JC our"Punch List" (Approx 10 items) and now need 4-5 day's to do . So we will drop it off and return home.

but at some dealer with an employee that is not trained like at the factory.... Whoops, that may not be quite true a I wonder from the errors I am reading about if the new factory employees are really trained.

The new owners sure have to pick a huge new skill set quickly to care of their new hobby.

Just picked up our new 26U. Does anyone know where the long piece of cushion extra that is for the front couch goes? Im sure its for use when using the bed,but cant figure it out. Also discovered extra storage under the front sofa. One in the corner (quite large) and a small long one.

Good question. I've yet to make that area up into a bed. Looking at Colonial's website....3rd pix in....no long cushion in sight. Maybe it's a pillow?

jomondnv...a word of caution. Both our pantry slide out and door above it came open during travel. No damage, but dog food, etc, spread about. A lot of weight in that pantry. The latch for that slide out would not hold. Installed a couple nice latches I found at CanAm RV which secures everything really well....if you remember to latch them up.

Talked to a repair tech at JC last month regarding the latches. He said they can change them out with a better holding latch. Apparently there are 3 pull weights available. Weak, medium, strong.

I was told it was an extra bolster for behind your back when lounging. Not sure about that though I have yet to find a place where it fits - I didn't need it making it up into a bed. If anybody knows for sure, count me on this list for wanting to know too

We have found no use for that cushion yet either. Might just leave it home.

Pick up our 26U from JC tomorrow, all is repaired or replaced. Will post result's.

My dealer too does not know what they are for. I found a YouTube video showing the 26 with all the lounge cushions laid out for the king size bed layout. There is was laying flat as a bed insert between the other cushions. I guess when they designed the bed/cushion setup they were short about 4-5 inches and this piece fills the spot. I'll test this theory out when I hopefully take delivery the end of this week. They are finishing up the 400w solar install.
