20-25 Foot Airstream (argosy too!) vintage or newer

Title:
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

HI, I've been on the search for quite some time now for a small to mid size airstream or argosy. Preferably all major projects are done (i.e. plumbing, electrical, solid sub-floor, bathroom and appliances intact and working well). I'm fine doing a few updates, especially cosmetically (i.e. new flooring, cushions, paint?).

I'm located in Colorado but have family all over the western half of the country so I'd be happy to travel to pick it up.

Ideally around $8,000-$14,000!

Any leads would be greatly appreciated!

Beth

Argosy 6.0 available

Hey Beth, I have a 1977 Argosy Minuet 6.0 I available. It is 19 feet long and is in very good shape for 40 years old. I whish I could saw the same for me. It has had a great deal of work on it to refurbish it, not restore it. Items replaced within last 5 years include A/C, plumbing, axle, kitchen and bath fixtures, hot water heater with electric ignition, larger kitchen sink, microwave, cook top, curtains, cushions, new toilet and more. I installed laminate over the original aluminum honeycomb flooring. This version of the Argosy was only Airstream built without a wooden floor, so there is never any rot. This proved to be too expensive for production in the entire AS line. It does have the big panic windows as all Argosy's do. The Minuet version is a light weight version, weights approximately 3,000 lbs ready to camp. It is a nice little trailer, I am ready for something larger to allow more extended travel. There a several pics under my profile, and I can send more. Given all the work that has been done on it I am asking $12,000. Trailer is located in Houston, TX. Please send email or text or call 713-412-2128. Welcome aboard! Bob.

I sent an 'inquiry' with a Minuet description to you. If you want pics I can send them as well.

I am selling one of my 3 Airstreams through a local consignment here in the San Diego region. I found a fantastic 1966 Overlander and am keeping my 1963 Safari. The trailer for sale is a 1971 Safari Twin Beds. It is in very good shape, no damage and the interior is all original but with new softgoods. New water heater and everything works including the A/C.If you are interested send me a PM and I will send you some photos. Dealer and I have not set the price since I just dropped it off yesterday but should have it shortly.

Hello.. I am interested, please send some pics. I am in Alpine. Owning an airstream has been a life long dream of ours, we are planning a trip around the USA in 2018 for our 35th wedding anniversary. Thxs, Sarina

I think you could ask more for your Minuet, Bob. I have a similarly refurbished 73 Argosy 20. All the major mechanical equipment has been replaced in the last couple of years, and a lot of the minor stuff too, including a new “original” awning. Everything is there, it all works, and is fully road-worthy. These trailers are becoming fairly rare, and as Beth has found, more difficult to find… especially when fully useable. In decent condition they are going up in value, not depreciating. Currently I have a new, smaller trailer on order (more appropriate to my advancing age and diminished inclination to take on new projects), so I have considered putting my 73 up for sale. An asking price of $12K looks reasonable, particularly when compared to alternatives. Reading the description of work you’ve done, it seems you have paid more attention to originality while I have mainly looked at functionality. Accordingly, unless these trailers are a lot more available in your part of the country than mine, I’d say you are offering a great bargain!
