How much is too much, or too little - 1962 Globetrotter?

Hi, i'm thinking about getting a towable Globetrotter... how much do you think i should be spending on a decent (but not refurbished) quality early 1960s model? I know its a difficult question, but what did you guys pay for yours? Also, are there any regular problems which i need to check out first before bringing her home?!?! thanks a million for your advice, its a lot of cash to spend badly!

First welcome to the fray. Since you are looking for a vintage unit (greater than 25 years old) you may want to take a look at Vintage Airstreams Price VS Condition. Also search the forum and you will find tons of information concerning purchasing / inspecting a vintage unit. Good luck in your search and keep us posted on your peogress.

The forum search function is OK, but I have better luck doing a Google search like this...

"trailer inspection checklist"

sarch criteria
Carl, Elaine & Finn The Beagle
2006 30' Classic W Slide & Limited Package Katarina
2006 GMC 2500 HD 6.6 Turbo Diesel Crew Cab 8' Bed
AIR #14487
NQ3U (was KB3UOM)

Thanks a million for that-that is exactly what i was looking for- and why this sort of resource is so invaluable! It strikes me that some models are significantly cheaper... All that i really need is to be able to tow it behind the pickup (3500lbs limit), so are there any other models which you would better recommend? Is there a resource anywhere which summarises the different models? thanks again for your help- I am so excited about getting one, but don;t want to make a snap-decision!
