Rawn77, what a beautiful combination of colors. Your Classic is beautiful. My husband and I are thinking of trading our 2013 Classic for a new one; still wondering if we should buy a 2016 or the new 2017. We just love the look of the new Classics.

Please keep posting.

I think my colour combination will be a rare one indeed:
We just picked up our 2017 Classic in this exact color combo and like it very much! Hope you are enjoying yours!

What's the news on the latest '17s coming off the line? Is the hot water issue mitigated? Did the new mixing valve fix it? I would hope that you don't have access to 185 degree water. If the tank is 185, fine, but mix some cold in before it gets to any faucet. I mean, you can brew tea with water that hot! But if there is 2 gallons of water that hot, a little of it would go a long ways.

Quick question for owners - our 2017 is going into the shop on Monday, BUT, trying to figure something out.

Three days ago factory solar had and was keeping batteries charged. Run down a bit overnight, but charge back up. Then yesterday after a day and a half of not being at the trailer the solar controller was flashing red and orange and clicking every second and the batteries were at 11.7. Cut the controller and plugged trailer into 110 at the storage yard. Batteries would get up to 13 or 40% and that is it.

Something is draining the batteries significantly and I cannot figure out what it is. Battery disconnect switch is in the store mode and is whenever we park the trailer in storage. My thoughts are solar controller went bad and let batteries run down, but in only a day and a half with nothing on?

Should, hopefully, find something out this week.

Bud

Probably the solar controller. Mine failed as well. Everything solar that Airstream installs in their trailers is garbage equipment.

Has anyone with a 2017 Classic figured out an elegant solution to cover the blinding neon green flood lights (okay ... the little green LED's on the USB charging panels on the sides of the beds)? I've just got mine covered with a couple of layers of blue painter's tape for now but would love a more elegant solution. Thanks, Rich

I'm having a similar issue but not quite as severe. My factory solar gets the batteries up to 12.7 which the solar monitor by the stove says is 90%. However it will not go above 12.7 volts. Interestingly enough, the dealer just installed my Progressive Dynamics Converter/Charger and replaced the Polk radio under warranty. Now as soon as I turn on the battery switch my phone Bluetooth connects to the radio even though I have not turned the power on at the control panel located above the TV. So it would seem the main radio unit is on all the time.
Anyone have any suggestions?

You might try going into the settings on the radio and shutting off the blue tooth connection. I am not at our trailer and won't be so I don't have any info on the radio with me.

Just sharing a little drawer mod ...

This is the main drawer under the convection microwave ... I'm so happy with the way it came out ... and so is Kat!

As they say, happy wife ...

Future projects will need to be new drawer boxes and soft-close slides ... and better retention hardware throughout. It's amazing how Airstream "cheaped-out" on the drawers ... cheap plywood boxes, butt-joint'ed together with about 7 brad nails holding the boxes together. Absolutely incredible (and that's not meant in a good way).

Cut a small piece of black electrical tape and stick it on the led works great and you will not notice the tape.
