Is this a one-time only specialty cake, or will we soon be able to purchase this cake at our local bakery?

It was a specialty cake in a competion for creativity in cake design.

This is a Gingerbread Liberty Mill I made for display in the lobby of the company I work for at Christmas time.

I LOVE it Gwen! Thanks for sharing the pix. Do you have a larger one? I'd love to see the detail. What are the decorations around the base...are they edible?

Here's one I made for the 2003 RMVAC Rally...nothing quite as ambitous, but it tasted good!

The Airstream Cake (I did not make) is made of cake and fondant and is completely edible.

The gingerbread house was erected on cardboard and I added a string of Christmas lights to the inside to light it up. (I wish I had taken photos of it while on display and lit up to show). The window "glass" is made using crushed hard candies which melt flat and translucent when baked.

Cool...I wouldn't want to eat them after all that hard work though!

Well, it's not a cake. But it is sweet and yummy! We made these for door prizes at a Unit rally.
