Favorite trailer time (or anytime) drink recipe:

I would like to put together a drink recipe section to out web site. Airstreamers do live the higher life. If you drink - even if it's nonalcoholic - what is your favorite drink when you are "out there" in your airstream.
If you believe in the 5:00 o'clock cocktail - what is it? After Dinner apéritif? Tell us all about it...
All recipes will be published on our web site for everybody to share. Please give credit where credit it's due.

I'll start - Dirty. VERY dirty. If it involves olive juice, a hint of lemon and very smooth vodka - I'm in. Take a 1/2 shot of olive juice (or any pickled juice such as peperoncini or even pickled okra). Shake with 2 shots of smooth vodka and serve in a nice green martini glass. That is life!

Bloody Mary

I have a recipe from an old bar in Belmont, NV - Dirty Dick's Saloon. Yes - a bloody mary isn't just for breakfast anymore!

How about this:
  • Nice tall glass filled 1/2 way with ice
  • 2 shots of premium vodka
  • plop of Harris Ranch horseradish (it's the best)
  • V8 (or Spicy V8 if you prefer)
  • squirt of lemon juice
  • dash of celery salt
  • squirt of Worcestershire Sauce.
  • Stalk of celery and whatever else you like in your BM.
Simple and to the point.

A great way to ruin the Makers Mark. I prefer it just on the rocks.

Here's my favorite recipe:
  • 1 English pint glass
  • 1 can of Guinness
  • 1 Avo Domaine cigar (optional)
Open can of Guinness. Poor slowly down the side of the English pint glass. Light cigar while Guinness settles. Enjoy.

Try it....you might not hate it.

Pour your favorite beer, and add a shot or two of V8. We call it a Red Eye.

My Dad's Bloody Bull recipe is like Buttercup's Bloody Mary recipe,
but with beef broth, black olive, and some tabasco.

Oh, the cigar sounds great. I found that Tinder Box has an excellent one (tinder box brand) called a La Reserva that is delicious. I could recommend that the Guinniss be substituted with a nice glass of port if that is your fancy.

my drink

Take one generous helping Jack Daniels black label, 1/2 glass of ice, and a bottle of coke. Put ice in freezer, coke in fridge, and enjoy the Jack

Rodney is right on the money. Some Jack Daniels Black Label, or Gentlemen Jack, and a bottle of beer. This may sound dirty but I enjoy a "Redheaded Slut" every once in a while. It's Jagermeister, peach schnapps, and cranberry juice with ice in a tall glass.
The little lady likes Bacardi Coconut Rum mixed with pineapple juice. I must admit it's quite tasty.

'pends on the season...I was a bartender in a former life V&Tor G&T during the summer months, fall and spring I like microbrews, or anything else that has warnings about about pregnant women and alcohol on the label Winter months a mulled cider, hot rum toddy, warm brandy, or a coffe based drink. And of course Margarita's anytime. My Beautiful Bride's preferences run to a glass of wine, Mimosas, or the occasional Appletini

My hubby likes ice cold Newcastle. I am partial to Muscato's, icy Wood Chuck amber, or blue moon margaritas....or mojitoes. Not necessarily in any order......but always relaxing in or beside something curved and silver. And you must always drink out of real glass, paper or styro are just wrong!

Cheers- Holly

Like I keep tellin' Susan, once you understand the point of owning a grill is to enjoy the finer qualities of beer, life just makes sense. (and no, she still ain't buyin' it)!
