Or even better the one that someone who loves you makes just for you.

Graeter's or Aglamesis ice cream

In Cincinnati, Graeters or Aglamesis ice creams are the best. My favorite is Graeter's mocha chip. The bittersweet chips are mucho humongo.

Speaking of Publix key lime pie: whenever we're at Topsail that's where we go for it. It's even better than the pie at the big restaurants: e.g. Red Bar.

Nancy says Graters ice cream looks fantastic (TV demo). They swirl the chocolate on the edges of the tub and when it's hardened they break it off to mix with the ice cream. Sounds like the deal.

Publix Key Lime appears to be a forum favorite. Sounds like a must do.

Getting hungry. Pat

Having lived in Florida for 25 years, I will agree that Publix is great grocery chain....but when it comes to Key Lime pie, the FL Keys takes the cake. Kermits Key West Key Lime Shop is pretty darn good. Especially when he freezes it on stick and dips it Belgian chocolate. Also the pie at Blue Heaven is over the top, literally. High top meringue, accompanied by reggae music with live chickens and roosters strutting around the patio makes for a real taste of the Keys.

Since strawberry season is upon us in Florida, if you get to central FL or anywhere within 2 hrs. of Plant City, you have to get a strawberry shortcake at Parkesdale Market. They've been around forever. As a kid, my eyes couldn't take in the tower of deliciousness, and it is still magic in my mouth. Don't miss this local legend!

Peter's Burnt Almond Cake in San Jose, CA

If you're traveling through Si Valley be sure to stop at Peter's in east SJ. The Burnt Almond Cake is legendary. As long as you're here you can pop over to Santa Cruz to MaryAnne's for some pretty awesome ice cream to top it off.
