Getting Blue ready for the trip or FL from Eugene

Bike cover...Pro Bike Tools around $70 for a great cover. Great customer service, directly from owner.

Unfortunately as with most covers, it covered the tail/brake/turn lights.....so had the dealer pull wire from the OEM lights to two new lights from a 2019 16' Sport (??) and mounter higher. They work great and are highly visible.

As an aside I had to alter the cover to fit the Fiamma rack so took it to a local camping gear repair shop (referred by local REI) The added a vertical zipper, a horizontal opening and some grommets. Needs a few more grommets and the horizontal opening tweaked a bit, but the cruiser bikes with very wide handlebars was a huge challenge

Lastly the paw print outdoor carpet (5x9 i think). On sale from CW awhile ago.

Nice... can you post a link to where you got the LED’S and how you hook them into the power.

Rock Deflectors or no?

Just bought a 2018 27FBTwin and crossed the country to bring her home. Before I left Oregon I put mud flaps on my truck but felt too much still got on my AS along the way. I have seen rock deflectors that extend on both sides of the hitch vs just behind the tires. Any thoughts on the rock deflectors and specific brands I should look for/avoid?
Many thanks!

I put on the rocktamers, it's amazing how much stuff gets past the regular F250 mud flaps. The install was pretty straightforward following the provided directions.

I second the Rocktamers. Have used them for more than 12 years.

Well I got two new Lifeline GPL-24t batteries. Went to pick up the AS for travel and found that the originals were killed by the cold weather and only had 4 volts in them. Can't complain as they were 6 years old.

When you clean out your 93 yr old in-laws home you find lots of fun vintage(y) things that you can use with your vintage trailers. Been waiting for that luggage for 20 years. Click image for larger version

For butt dialing, the remotes have a sliding cover to prevent that. It's up to the user to remember to engage said cover.

I have one and agree with Taylor. P.S the remote has a lock button feature in addition to the slide button cover. I use it primarily when jacking on a steep down grade. Avoid being run over by the AS in case chocks give way. Been there done that. Nasty scare.

That was at Deer Lick State Park in Alabama, it is beautiful park on a man made river (canal)for moving Barges loaded with coal and everything else....they are huge.... they go thru a set of locks that raise them up on there way up to north Ala, and the Tennessee River.

Lots of new items for our 05 Classic, finally her name came to me after a year of owning her. She is officially called Ima, after my wife’s grandmother; Ima ready to go camping, Ima working on the Airstream. So we have Ima’s 60’s rocking chair that my wife refreshed with the correct look. Just completed a new resealing of the seams, windows, installed Maxim skylights.

Heading out to Sarasota Florida tomorrow, first Grandchild is due on the 18th. Hope to stay there for several weeks. Ima’s old rocking chair will come in handy again. Ima South bound I-75 in the morning.
