Seen in Blairsville, GA
We saw two airstreams within 10 minutes passing through Blairsville, GA early this afternoon. Both were heading south. One was a moho and the other was @30'.
Of course we didn't have ours in tow, but if you are one of these two, I was the weird lady in the BMW waving at ya!

Two sightings this weekend - met one on a two-lane road near Stanwood, Washington on Friday morning. Our enthusiastic waves were greeted with a slight nod. Saturday afternoon, we were walking the beach at Deception Pass State Park, and looked up to see an Airstream being pulled South across the Deception Pass bridge. Couldn't get the camera out of my bag fast enough to catch it, though.

We saw a 60's something Tradewind today in rural Edmonson Co. KY. Didn't look like it had been used in a while. I think I may go back to see if it is for sale tomorrow. You never know, a diamond in the rough or maybe one man's junk, I'm not sure......

How come no one ever sees or gets the WBCCI numbers when they see these trailers.
I hope that when we get our trailer back and start traveling if someone sees us they at least get our number so when they say something on here I know its me.
Maybe thats why not many say anything because they dont know if you are talking about them or not.

maybe the numbers aren't BIG enough? all kidding aside, i think folks are just being cautious drivers and co-pilots. it's easy to spot the trailer, a bit harder to read the numbers. we'll have to get you some red, white and blue trim or some flames!

I didn't have a pen/paper with me when I saw the two in Blairsville. If memory serves me right I think the #s were worn off (21095) was in the shadows...
My memory ain't too great these days.

Not all trailers have WBCCI numbers on them?
I agree in safety first. I tend to say "wow, there is....was...an A/S"...no time for number taking.

Yesterday my husband and I spotted two airstreams near St. Louis, MO. About 3PM heading west on I44 was a Bambi 16ft being towed by a full size white van from TX. Coming back into St. Louis about 10PM we spotted a 34ft heading east. On the 2nd one I couldn't tell what state it was from because they have changed all the license plates and I don't always reconize them and couldn't see the wording. Neither had red numbers on them but... the 34 ft had a Air Forum sticker on it.

While in Rogers, Ark today, we saw (I think) a seven panel, older Airstream, nicely polished, in a driveway about 23rd and New Hope Road. No camera, of course, and going too fast to take a really good look, but a nice trailer.

Saw a very shiney and pretty A/S being pulled South down I5 in Calif's San Fernando Valley this afternoon.
I'm seeing less and less White box's lately but a lot more Airstreams.

Saw a smaller, polished, older 1960s-ish Airstream heading westbound
on Interstate 94 between Waukesha and Delafield/ Wales Wisconsin.
She had some numbers across the front, went by too quickly to discern what they were.
She sure was gorgeous.

Marie and I got out camping for the first time this summer. Just on the other side of the west circle from us at Tomlinson Run State Park Campground (New Manchester, WVa) we saw a 1979 International Ambassador. The previous owners had WBCCI # 25929 (numbers now removed.) Mike and his father, Denny bought the trailer about 5 years ago from the original owners and have family camped in it. They've now started removing the clearcoat and are getting ready to start polishing. It's going to be a beauty. Good Luck

We're at Poole Knobs campground in LaVergne, TN and there's a 1971 Airstream motorhome (it's beautiful!) parked at a nearby campsite. Hubby briefly spoke to the guy. He's visiting from WV. (Welcome to TN!). No numbers. It's a baldie...
On the way into Nashville this morning I saw an airstream traveling eastbound on I-440. Looked like a 23-footer. I couldn't get any numbers (had to deal with traffic...sorry!).
It's a beautiful thing!

Today in Maine
Well, a great day for sightings in Maine.
This morning at about 11:00 am I was headed South on I-95 near Augusta and saw WBCCI 1128 and waved my hand through the moonroof. A few minutes later on I-295 I saw WBCCI 5593.
Is there a gathering in Maine this week?

Monday afternoon around 3:00 on a country road near Auburn, Georgia. Late model 25er (?) being pulled by a dark gray Ford pick-up. I think the WBCCI numbers were 6633.

Near a park in Lubbock Texas
We found this old gal in a driveway near a park we stopped at in (I think) Lubbock Texas to let the kids run off some road energy on our anual trip to Port Aransas.
Diesel prices being what they are this summer, we opted to make the drive in our Honda and stay at a hotel instead of pulling the Avion down there.
Er... my apologies to anyone if this is your driveway

When I first got my AS people said my red numbers looked ugly and asked why I did it. Now when they see a AS going down the road they look to see if its me #4989!

I literally just hit this thread to see check out new sightings... what drives by my campsite at Poole Knobs in TN while the page is loading? A silver beauty #2787.
