Elkmont

Passing thru the Smokys and a quick visit to my fav campground...we spotted this old timer.
Owner not around to ask, and I have no idea of the year.

Sure looked fantastic, the set upo too, even their neighbors had chairs facing in this direction.

In about two more weeks, the color should be great up there.

We saw a late model ~22' Airstream traveling east on I-20 right at the Texas/Louisiana border. We were traveling west towing our trailer.

new neighbor

We have a new neighbor at our storage lot, a vast improvement over the crusty old boat that used to be there. That's the new one on the left. It's a Flying Cloud; looks to my untrained eye like a 22', awfully close to brand new!

And that's our dirty ol' R2DTube on the right. Somebody needs a bath.

Welcome, neighbors!

I should have said in this post that I am leaving Greeneville TN sometime Thursday 10/6/2011 and going to Lake Greenwood State Park in Ninety Six SC. I will be pulling our 97 34 ft legend with a 2011 F250.

Jim, I believe I am one that can actually say that mine will most likely never be on here, at least no one has caught me yet. 10 years, 3 Airstreams and no one has yet, I have seen some of the ones I passed on here shortly after I passed them but never mine.

Hey Sarge, Greenwood SP is in my neck of the woods. If your route takes you down US 321 you will pass by our place. Stop by if you can.

While on the way home from an elementary school volleyball tourney this evening we saw 8 or 10 in the back of the Elkhart Campground. They are way off the road and hard to see. I did not get a good look while driving and had girls to get home to do homework or we would have driven through and said hi. I cant think where they are going to maybe the Penn wood Fall colors rally? Have a safe trip where ever you are headed.

We had two join us yesterday in time for the snow. One is a 1965 remodel (very pretty) (Hi!) and, I am not sure what year the other one was but it had a door mid length.

Yesterday Thurs 10/6 I was headed down I26 East and I believe I had just crossed into SC and I glanced over to my left an low an behold there was a AS attached to a black pickup sitting in the rest area, It was a newer 25 or 27. I was pretty engrossed in a talk radio show so I was not paying alot of attention.
