Quite the price increase for those extra 50 pounds!

Actually, maybe I could tow it.
I wonder what the tongue weight is.
It might be hard to park.
It might be hard to find a campsite long enough.

Saw two today about 10 minutes apart. Both were headed north on US29 just north of Danville, VA.

Saw a newer airstream in the campground where we were staying in Chattanooga, TN one morning last week. Must have been just overnighting, because they were still hitched up to their red TV and gone when we returned from the day's activities.
Also spoke to a nice couple in their very nice AS motor home at the Flying J near Farragut, TN on Friday. We were at the propane tank, and they were fueling up and cleaning their windshield. Green and tan motor home, towing a gold-ish car.

Was watching The Office...this episode was about a paper airplane flying contest between the staff...But they had used the Airstream name for the brand of paper they were flying. So for what it's worth - this is an Airstream sighting.

I have been watching 1970s episodes of Emergency! on ME TV with my kids.
Lately there have been several episodes involving Airstreams.
One where a station wagon drove off a cliff with Airstream attached.... needed Johnny and Roy.
Another where a neglegent couple were traveling with their child in the AS they drove along. Something caught fire and just so happened to be near station 51.... needed Johnny and Roy!
Lastly, enroute to a big rescue there was a 3 second shot of an Airstream dealer in view as engine 51 sped to the scene. All shiny an new sitting on the lot!
1970s TV is certainly good stuff!

Went out to upstate NY for Thanksgiving with eldest son and family: saw an AS being towed west on 90 in central Ohio, on our way out last Wednesday. Saw an AS in the Wisconsin welcome center heading our direction on the way home Tuesday. Also noticed the AS that has been sitting by a shed visible from 94 by the National Guard base in Wisconsin looks like it's being taken care of now - it's clean, the hatches are closed now and it's been moved some!

Saw an Airstream MH on I-95 near the GA FL border. I drove 680 miles yesterday (not towing) without seeing an AS trailer. There were many SOB's on the road though.

How was Topsail? We will be going up there next month. How long did it take? GPS says about 6 hours from Brooksville.

Sorry, when I said Topsail, I meant Topsail Island, NC. Took me a minute to get what you were saying, and all I could think of is "man, is s/he in for a surprise!" (it's a 10.5 hour drive from Tampa to TI, NC)
Greg Moore Topsail in Santa Rosa is right around 6 hours, yeah, and honestly why we're not going this year. 7 hours for a weekend trip is a bit much and we have a lot going on... can't believe it's already December.
I really think that next year we'll go (I'm acutely aware I said this LAST year, ha).
Have a great time up there!
