Ok, I spoke with Bridget. She said the main cook off is strictly venison. HOWEVER, they do the main judging first then they will do just our group. Before they are ready to judge our group, they will ask that the veg chili be brought in, and then they will judge our group for our group winner.

Oct. 15th is the cut off date to sign up for the Chili Cook Off part of this rally. If you wish to compete and have some fun trying out venison chili you need to make the phone call to the park to register so you can get the venison.
Can't wait to try all of the varieties of chili/ and meatless chili! Sounds great!

We are really looking forward to meeting everyone there! And we are praying for great weather.

We're praying....for the weather that is! Could be good or bad.....do we have a total on attendance so far?

About the Trick-or-Treat.....How many kids are expected? We want to be prepared but don't want a bunch of candy laying around afterwards......

Do the adults wear costumes? Is anyone?

Can you guys give us advice on winterizing? We've only had the AS since July and are such Newbies.....I'm overwhelmed thinking about that job.

Attendance is at 8 units hopefully 10 by the time the date is here.
Trick or Treat for the kiddos... well, no kiddos are joining us as of yet. Though I hear there are some adults who will be donning costumes for the crawl! The park did their trick or treat stuff this week so we will add some candy to the goodie bags for those kids at heart

Winterizing isn't as overwhelming as it sounds. My suggestion is to talk to Loudruff at the rally. We have a few that show up at their place to winterize then get towed home. lol!

Larry will be able to help you learn to winterize. If you are doing that before you tow it home you should bring your 2 gal. of RV antifreeze...the pink stuff...with you. About $3. gal.
If you aren't winterizing he can still teach you how to do it. There will be lots of folks there that can show/talk you through it.

Just called down to Findley to see how many we have registered so far and we are up to 14!!! Woohooo! Looking forward to this! Goody bags are getting prepped now! T shirts will be here on the 21st and the trophy has been polished!

Saturday: Prepare for Chili Cook off
1pm? All Venison Chili is Due at the Nature Center
All Vegetarian Chili will be due, immediately following the venison judging
4pm Trailer Crawl – Meet at Site 174. We will travel to the different trailers in our group and admire and check out what everyone has done to their home on wheels! You will find a green (yes) or red (no) to signify if your trailer will be available for the crawl or not in the goody bag. Please place this in a visible area near the door. (The crawl will not happen if raining.)
6pm Chili Potluck (Bring chili or a dish to share, your choice of beverage, & table service)

We're going camping in Niagara Falls this weekend.
I'm diving in the Niagara River on Saturday and Jean's doing the half marathon on "Sunday.
See I keep getting your old tanks wet.
those don't get winterized since I dive all year.

Loren does all of my pumpkin carving. She is a master at it. She did some awesome pumpkins year before last. Sounds like fun if you get some pumpkins I bet some folks would join in.

Diving in the Niagara River sounds like a different kind of "chilly" to us! Brrrrrr!!!!!

This sounds like it's going to be a great rally! Anyone within a few hours drive (METRO FOLKS), how about you come down and visit the great state of Ohio!

Where else can you get dead deer and kimchi on the same plate? I'll even buy the first round of Christmas Ale!
