original hubcaps/new wheels

I have the original hubcaps and wheels for a 1965 safari. If I get new wheels how do the old hubcaps mount to them? The old split rims have the clips spot welded to them. RR

You will probably have to get new hubcaps, the new wheels usually don't have the clips on them. Miracles happen, but I see new hubcaps in your future.

Dave, you need to let him come to that sad realization himself, THEN magnanimously offer to relieve him of the parts. Patience, Grasshopper.
