I saw this same data on Nissan's website. It did not match the vehicle I saw on the dealer's lot. In this chart the Platinum Reserve's 4x2 payload is listed at 1,676 lbs. The one that I saw was 1,444 lbs on the door sticker. It's another example of advertising not matching reality.

To be fair to Nissan, all automakers do that: publish the maximum payload, which is only available for a vehicle with no options/accessories. Published payloads are useless as they are always more than the door sticker number, which matters. Our GL has a published payload of around 1450#, however, the door sticker says 1150#. I weighed the vehicle on a CAT scale and by subtracting the measured curb weight from GVWR got 1200# - within 50# of the door sticker, which is accurate enough.
