I think if you look closely, you will see filiform corrosion on the trailer.

You don't need to worry about sway control or WD, and forget about a Hensley Hitch.
Your hitch point is forward of the rear axle, so you're really running more like a fifth wheel. You're good to go!

I'm surprised you all missed the true motive power: the mower self-propel pushes the tandem bike via roller and belt drive to the trailer wheels.

And, that the mower is a KUBOTA, with a diesel, natch.

(As a fourteen year old I had to walk the mile to my farthest customers of a lawn-mowing business, pushing both lawnmower and edger [that wouldn't follow the same track]. Mom wasn't firing off that 428-4V FORD for such a short trip. But, of course, we were in Texas. No one has ever seen a bicycle like that, here. That's some kinder Commernist thing, ain't it?).

Touring...

Heh heh... yes, that filiform corrosion is in a "thatchy type" pattern....

I get quite the look pulling the mower around... people really whip their heads around...

As for the "circus bike" (my term), it's a Bike Friday (it actually converts to a Triple as well from a tandem)... made here in the good 'ol USA in Eugene OR. It comes with a trailer kit to tow it's own suitcase - it packs up for travel. I actually took it to Germany with us last year... fun to tour the small villages with - JUST LIKE WALLY! But, like Wally with his VW powered TV pulling his Bambl... I was a bit underpowered with the two girls on board....
