Alternative for Window Fuzzy Seal

Hi,

Any suggestion? Looking for alternative for fuzzy seal used on frames for the flys and bugs?
I heard that it is nasty to install the original style fuzzy seals (glue goes all over etc). Please let me know.

Thank you

Easy install. I did not find the job messy at all. It is much easier if you remove the inside frame. Then lay it on a work surface. Don't pull the thread until the glue sets up.

Don't pull the thread until the glue sets up! Wish I'd thought of that!

I'll do it when I redo them, I had a hard time getting them to meet in the middle and have enough on the edge to glue on.

Wish they made them wider.

Saw a interesting post where someone used window screen and a hot glue gun, looked good and reported it worked well.

I rebuilt all my screens including removing old paint and repainting , new screen fabric and new fuzzy material - get some good weatherstrip adhesive and it's a really easy job ,don't get in a hurry and work on a nice flat lay out table .I painted the frames with spray on hammered silver it really made them look sharp and installed with round head stainless steel screws.
