Accidentally used steel rivets

I accidentally put two steel rivets (all steel, not mandrel) into some holes where I had some become displaced.

Do I need to remove them? If so, what is the easiest way to do it?

Thanks!
Adam

Oh no! You've ruined everything! I'll buy your 25' for $75. That's all it's worth now, and really, I'm doing you a favor.

Actually it's no big deal. Carefully drill them out and replace them. Drilling can get a little tricky as the rivet can just start spinning, but start with a 1/8" bit and go very slightly larger on just the part of the rivet you see (try not to go all the way through).

This has been done a million times before. A few of them by me.

No.. leave 'em alone... butg make sure you paint over 'em.. as the electron action of alu to steel.. makes the steel rust.. but most steel rivets... are alloy and along the line of SS steel... so taking 'em out your run the risk of sliding off the steel rivet and damaging the alu it is in... They make a rivet shaver.. but its costly and again you slip and the soft alu is history... I'd leave it alone... and go with it...

Or 'pot' the rivet heads and 'shop heads' with a suitable waterproofer to keep moisture away. It's the moisture that acts as an electrolyte, that turns two dissimilar metals into a galvanic mess, as said above.
