Post How we are doing it

30amp Electric/Water/Cable TV/WIFI/Waste Dump (read sewer clean out) connection in our driveway right near the house (my folks have this space right now). At the barn, qty 3 30Amp Electric/Water hookups (two inside the barn, one outside) soon to have cable and WIFI as we are in the process of bringing down the underground wire for cable/internet connection. Folks can park their Airstreams in the barn (nice and level) or outside (not as level). Our barn is wicked big ( 30'w x 40'd x 14h to the first floor ceiling) so backing rigs into it is not a problem. If there is a group we have space for at least 2 more Airstreams (dry camping) in the barnyard.

No, the 50A is 240v, which is 100A at 120v.

Rich,

All you need to do is sell 13.9375 subscriptions.

I have a better idea.... I'm going to charge you by the foot for "courtesy parking!

Seriously, the plan is shaping up. Looks like Grasspave2 for the parking spots, a single pole for the power & water with two 30A outlets and telephone on it, and I'll run all the wires through conduit. I'm told the telephone has to be in a separate conduit, 12" away from the power line.

Since the excavator & bulldozer will be on-site in a few weeks for the house foundation anyway, this won't represent a huge extra cost in earthmoving.

As far as winterizing, I'll install a water shutoff in the house, a blow-out plug, and pump some pink stuff in the buried portion of the water line each fall.

For the sewer, we'll make sure to put in a "clean-out" tee somewhere.

Still looking for a good deal on the elec/telephone outlets. I may take the advice to just build up a hookup pole from off-the-shelf electrical components from the local electrical supply shop, rather than buy the fancy all-in-one units.

I am not sure about Rob, but I think Porky and Petunia only have two feet each....So, you can only charge them for four feet.
