exterior window tinting

Has anyone used window tinting that adheres to the outside of the window pane? My local glass shop will order it for me but will not install it. the tinting between the panes is peeling badly. My A.S. is a 1975 31 ft sovereign. It is in very nice condition except for the window tint. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I put window tint on the inside of my rear window. I bought it at Menards. I'd have to check in my trailer on the box for the name of the stuff, but it has no adhesive & can be removed if you want, at any time. They have all the supplies there, including spray (to make the window slippery), trimmer, and a squeegie. It came out very nicely. My windows were terrible & it took a lot of work to get the old stuff off (with a razor blade). I didn't want to put anything on them again that would be so difficult to remove if I wanted to take it off. I'll check on the name tomorrow if you want.

window tint

Hi Becky
Thanks for the reply. My trailer has double pane windows and the tint is between the panes. I can't get to the old tint without taking the windows apart so I thought I would try to tint the outside of the window to save myself the work of taking the windows apart. I know they make tint for the outside but I don't know anyone who has used it. Most exterior tint is used on commercial buildings.

Thanks again

BILLY
