‘59 Overlander Window Replacement - Acrylic

A couple of my windows need replacement so I’ve been researching the best solution. I decided to go with a 1/8” Acrylic bronze “tint” that obtains UV properties. It is more energy efficient than single-pane glass and more cost effective, easy to work with, etc.

Also, while my trailer windows do not have any curvature, it might be a good solution for people with newer trailers.

I have a few drops in case anyone around Austin wants to have them to test out.

This is the website, there are 2 options; Acrylic and Lexan. I went with the Acrylic because it is more scratch resistant.

Please respond if you’ve run into similar issues and have input on this subject.

We went with Makrolon for the rock guard due to the impact resistance of polycarbonate over acrylic. For windows I would have gone your route with the acrylic due to scratch resistance. This was recommended by Regal Plastics in the area. They sure are knowledgeable. Bronze tint sounds like a great idea. Good luck, Bubba
