Which antenna do I need

We just purchased a 1988 Excella that has a Coax Skyliner antenna by Braund. We have a Vizio HDTV which we cannot get reception on when hooked up to this antenna. We were recommended to get a Winegard Rayzar Air retrofit unit, but no one can tell me if that will work with the existing wiring. Will that work, do we need the full antenna package and rewire? Do we need just a digital converter or is there something out there better that we need. We are so confused and CamperWorld is totally useless in answering our questions IE...they have no clue what will work...

Braund Antennas are generally excellent. I suspect that you have some electrical issues as most of them have amplifiers built into them, or the outlet that is in the wall. Is there a switch and light on the wall plate? If so when you turn the switch on is there a little red light which comes on?

That is the first thing to check.
