Cable to batteries under bed?

I want to add two more 6v AGM's under the bed of my FC FB25 to supplement the two 6v AGM's in the outside box. It seems like the simplest way would be to run two 4ga cables from the existing batteries to the new ones under the bed. But how to do it? It looks like I could simply bore a hole in the floor under the bed into the spare tire space and then bore a couple of more holes to get into the battery box. I'd use grommets and cable sleeve etc. Anyone done this? Thanks in advance.

Why not move them all under the bed? That's what I did when I replaced the 12v lead acid batteries with 4 6v agm's during my solar installation. I left one of the cables in place and installed some terminals to maintain power to the tongue jack and access to 12v power for an air pump. I use the battery box as storage for chocks and leveling blocks now. This is on a 23FB. Not sure if the 25FB has a similar setup.

The wife won’t let me. There’s enough room for two batteries and she still gets her storage bins.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. It doesn't meet code and Airstream can't do it without a sealed box and vent but you can.

As a two time breast cancer survivor, I cannot understand how anyone can think placing these batteries under the bed is a good idea. Just.....don't do this to your body.

only LiON BATERRY can be placed inside

all others need venting, thus are unsafe inside

Correct, this is the key thing to consider in this decision. You can't just place a lead acid battery inside your trailer without taking other precautionary measures:

I beg to differ. Many people on this forum put AGM batteries under the bed. It's universally done in other RVs as well. Google it.

My question was regarding how to run the cables.

Cable to batteries under bed?

I ran my A-frame wiring using the existing hole from the 7-pin, it was more than large enough for my purposes. The factory 7-pin is just a hole with wiring and a horrendous caulking job (as are all caulking from AS?).

I’d personally make sure I had a converter (and solar charger) that I _really_ trusted before I put any lead acid battery in an unvented space, the factory one wouldn’t be it.
