light not working in 1962 Bambi (only 110 side)

The light fixture closest to the door seems to have fried itself. When I first plugged the trailer into electricity and tried to turn the light on, sparks flew from the receptacle on the electrical side and now there are dark purple burn marks on both the inside of the fixture and the receptacle cover. This is the 2nd time I have had a problem with this particular fixture. Last time, I paid a guy $200 to fix it (all he did was tell me that a piece of the wiring had been screwed into and that he removed it). Trying to save myself some money and time this go 'round. I've already removed all of the screws, taken the cover off to check if anything was loose/dangling or whatnot and none of those helped to get it working. Any further advice for me?...

Check the breaker box, if you had sparks, you probably tripped a breaker.
