Exterior lights

While I was doing some prep to my 23fc, I noticed that my running lights aren't completely flat on the skin. I don't think they can be tightly screwed down since some are on a curve. Would some clear silicone be a good idea?

No. Most silicon caulks contain acetic acid which is a no-no on aluminum. If you pop the lense off of one of the fixtures you should see that the hole the wires come through is sealed with goop of some sort (at least they are on mine). This should keep moisture out of the shell wheel letting any trapped moisture escape from the fixture.
