Cyclo rentals??

I've sunk tons of money into this project. In the past year I've removed the rear bath section and replaced the floor, rewelded the entire back section of the frame, put in hard wood floors, put in a new water heater, replaced the axles, and trying to polish her for the final touch. I'm not like most airstream owners, in fact, I might be the youngest memeber of this forum. I'm a full time student in my senior year of college and i work 30 hours per week. the problem is, all my money is going into restoring my baby. I'm not complaining because I know when this is done it going to be more than worth all my effort. But i don't see myself spending $300 on a new cyclo. is there any place that will rent one of these tools? thanks.

The problem is that before you are done with the Cyclo, you would have paid out more in rent (if you could find one to rent) than the initial unit cost!
Polishing is a lonnnnnnnng process!

i was thinking that i could use the polisher that i have now to do everything except for the final polish with the nuvite S. i might be mistaken the final polish is where the cyclo blows everything else away. at least thats the message i'm getting from reading other posts. and the final polish shouldn't take me more than a few days right?

The problem is, you will want to repolish with 'S' at least once a year to maintain that mirror shine once you have it, especially in humid Florida...so you will want one of your own.

Try looking in a pawn shop...we found one in great shape for $100.

My unit was polished a few years ago, and from what I've been told the best way to maintain it is to redo it with just a cyclo every couple years. So think of a cyclo as a maintenance item if you're going to go through the trouble to polish it. You'll definitly need to keep it up.

For those who are thinking about purchasing a cyclo polisher and don't want to buy new, there have been several used ones on ebay the last couple of weeks. I just won a bid for one for $152.

Now I just hope it holds up!
