rmkrum, my trailer came with the strips that mount to the frame of the the inlets. I have machined the aluminum plugs to accept the strip so it will be attached when not in use. You can see it in the sideways picture, the black flush one is easier to see. Thanks, Mike

Very nice ... we use different colored plastic "plugs" ... one is leashed to the fitting.

Mike - I got mine in the mail today - it exceeded my expectations! Beautifully milled. As a hunk of aluminum it weighs less than a feather and I see how the strap will connect. Thanks! I love it and will get it on the trailer asap. Well done and very fair price!!!

Just found mine again. I love my dogs..

Beautiful work. When I install it I'll put up some pictures. The push-in cover for my black flush simply falls out by itself, and lets dirt get in. The new cap is engraved so I can remember which connection to hook up to. I don't need the black tank overflowing if I get stupid hooking up some day.....

I'm ordering one for the fresh water inlet as well. The sun out here has caused the original cheap plastic cap to deteriorate and crack. Well worth the money! Besides shiny aluminum matches the trailer.!

Would you do a black tank with "Mr. Hanky" engraved on it?

Or maybe one with a skull and crossbones?

NICE work. Paula

water hookup confusion

Installed mine - but the plastic holder is a different style (so not the kind with the hole to fit over the "nub"). Click image for larger version

The red electric tape is what was holding the plastic case in place (it never got right). I'll figure something out. Love it though!!!

Suggest a short piece of thin nylon line with loops on the cap and under a screw. Or punch a 1/8" hole in the plastic tab and press it over the tip on the plug

The latter is my plan - just need to remove the threaded part of the plastic cap that used to set in the plug. Xacto knife should do it.

Just make sure you only cut plastic...not flesh. I'd take the strap off the AS to work on it. A leather punch probably would work best for a clean hole.

I have the scars...exacto knives are scary sharp.

Btw, talked to Mike yesterday. He can make one with different lettering for the city water inlet as well.

How about one with "Betty Boop" on it saying "Poop Poop, be Doop!"
