OEM parts?

Greetings!

We're new to this forum (and Airstreams as well) and have recently purchased an '88 Excella, 32'. It seems to be in very good condition but needs a few exterior parts and I'm wondering where to buy the original equipment?

I tried the vender tab above but...

The parts in question are a bathroom roof vent cover and several of the running light lens (both amber and red).

Thanks,

Rob

The three places for parts that I would suggest are:
Inland RV
Out of Doors Mart
Vintage Trailer Supply

Parts

Also try Colaws RV Salvage in Missouri and Any other RV salvages you can google. Cherokee RV salvage (Colorado?) had warehoused many vintage parts for Airstream as well as SOB trailers. Many of the old vintage parts were pretty standard even into Airstream models. Check out all RV parts places you can find. The older RV dealers will most likely have some new old stock parts and many may be at reduced prices (if they don't know you own an Airstream). Any part numbers you can come up with will help. Happy Trails, Ed

Rob.

If you replace just the clearance light lens, they will fall off again, since the bases have shrunk. Replace the whole assembly. But while your at it, you might consider changinging them all to LED's.

The round bath exhuast fan covers are available.

We prefer to talk to our customers, "live".

We find that we can overall be much more helpful, in many ways, by simply talking to them instead of using a key board.

Nothing against computers, but they don't have any personality.

Andy, I have to disagree. My computer does indeed have a personality, and it's a miserable one at that!

Maybe you could trade it in, for a better "behavior" model !

As well as the sources already quoted, some parts are also available through Airstream dealers.

Your local AS dealer may not stock it, but he can find out if AS still has it...

I just went through the same repairs to my '87 32-ft Excella -

I had the bathroom vent changed completely (the switch for the fan was also gone). As for the exterior lighting, I changed them all to LED's (Dan Brown at led4rv.com). The marker lights were a bit more difficult to do, but the signal lights in the rear were easy. The result is very good, both from an aesthetic point of view as well as functional. I used the "bullseye" type of marker lights.

As far as LED goes, you can keep your housings and order these in red or amber:

They provide side lighting too so there is really no difference in light direction but a definite improvement in light color and energy efficiency.

Inland RV has the parts on the way! You're right, Andy, those girls are a hoot. I'm might call just to visit next time. All in all a very pleasant experience.
