Alignment Question

I recently upgraded wheels and tires and was checking the clearance on the new Michelins between the front-most tires and wheel well. I have 1/4" clearance on the right side and 7/8" clearance on the left side. Would this suggest an alignment problem? Thanks.. I read these posts every day and have learned more than I can absorb.

I don't think I'd use that gap as an indication of alignment problems. A more accurate gauge would be to measure the distance between the inside leading edge of a tire to the frame/wall of the wheel well and the inside trailing edge of the tire to the frame/wall of the wheel well.

This is as close to the front metal as the tire will get because it goes up and back when hitting a bump.

We had different width wheel openings on the 2015 23D and had to trim a couple of inches off the curb side to match the street side. Then the 15" LTX (P) 235/75R15 XL tires would fit.

Measure from the center of the coupler pocket to the some point on the axle ends. I think you'll find the body build to more off than the frame alignment.
