Those might be what I have

I'll confirm when I get home. I think that I have the Power King Tow max ST load range D. I've had 4 of them on for about 3 years and no problems. It's my understanding that the lifespan of trailer tires is about 4 or 5 years (even if they look okay) and I intend to replace with the same tires. Part of my reason to stay with the same tires is based on my desire to stay with the same tire dealer. There is a regional tire store chain here that I like. The tires themselves have given me no reason to try something else.

The tire are designed to be tubeless but I have tubes in them. Its my understanding that the orginal AS issued alloys need tubes.

I bought a set of Towmax Load Range E tires last winter when we stopped in at JC on our way to Tucson.

I had originally planned to buy Maxxis tires when we got to Tucson to replace my 5 year old GYM's (and move up from Load range D to E) but since we had to stop anyway at JC for a little work on our trailer and since they had the Towmax tires available, I decided to go with them rather than lose a day in Tucson messing around getting tires installed!

So it is early days for us, having only made one cross country trip with the Towmax E rated tires, but so far we have had no problems with them at all.

I can't really say we had any problems with our GYM's either really, although they did have a strange sort of bumpy look to the sidewalls that always bothered me a bit. I really only changed them due to their age, plus I felt that since our trailer was fairly close to the max wt. for D rated tires, it might not be a bad thing to move up to E rated tires.

Invoice shows that I paid $130.53 each for 5. I don't doubt you'd get them less at some place other than JC, it was just convenient for me to get them and have them installed there since our trailer was in the shop anyway, and since we were on a trip, I reckoned it would save me a day from having to pull the trailer out of a campground, get new tires at some place like Discount Tire, then bring it back to the campground and set it all up again! i wouldn't be surprised if you could buy them for around $100 each if you shopped around.

I paid $511 for 4 of them load range D. I have the Alcoa OEM wheels and was advised against the E range due to air pressure limits on those wheels.

Are the Towmaster tires being installed as original equipment now - or is Airstream still using GYMs? Also, is "Towmaster" the brand name or is it a model name? In the latter case, who is the manufacturer?
