Knobs for a Magic Chef range-'92 Excella
Hi- we're refurbishing a 25 foot '92 Excella and all of the knobs on the range are missing, and the plate with the model numbers is also gone, so we can't find the model number needed to even look for parts-- Does anyone know what model number this range is??

We have an 89 excella and the range is original and we have all of the paper work for it. Do you want to post a photo of yours? We are happy to help if they match!

If your not able to find originals - these will make a suitable replacement:
RV Gas Burner Knobs - PPL Motor Homes
You should also find these at Lowe's and HD....

Nancy, you'll need to take a different approach to your photo. Here is a link to the FAQ on adding attachments to your post:

Our 88 Excella has similar Magic Chef, only with different grids on top.. There are phone numbers for service parts, but first step is to ID Stove Modle Number.. It is on data plate under top panel of stove and on side of unit.. Try removing grid bars and then lifting up sheet metal top of stove, and look on sides for ID info.
From there, you can call Magic Chef parts in Indiana for "Top Burner Knobs" and "Thermostat (Oven Control) Knob" that are a match for your stove...

Our stove looks the same and we also have a '92. We store the trailer off-site and I plan to do some maintenance soon so I'll check our model numbers, etc. and get back to you.
Contacting Magic Chef directly is a good idea and they may be able to help. Otherwise a good local appliance parts dealer may be able to help. I've found a surprising number of parts at Fox Appliance Parts and I think they'll ship anywhere. I've kept washers, dryers, stoves and other appliances running with parts from Fox long after most service personnel indicate the units are obsolete.

Thanks
I'll look forward to hearing from Lucius and Skatiero for possible model numbers- thanks so much. And for the name of the appliance parts dealer. As for finding the model numbers under the top of the stove-- the numbers seem to be truly gone-- and I have already called Magic chef, and talked to several people, but they said that without the model number-- zip.....thanks for the ideas.

The label on our stove indicated when you call for parts be sure to include the model number and the specification number. From what I can tell the model number is BT22RS and the specification number is 4TVX. It was listed on the label as BT22RS-4TVX.
The serial number on ours is 11C136731530 but I suspect that won't help you.
Good Luck!

I didn't take a picture but those knobs don't look like mine. I've seen lots of 90's Airstreams and those knobs don't look original. For instance, here's what my oven control knob looks like:

Progress!
Thanks so much everybody. The model numbers are similar, and the specification numbers are the same!-- so this is a great start. I really appreciate your support. It may take awhile, but I will post what happens...

Hi all-- I just got a call from the Airstream specialist at the trailer store where our Excella was originally bought, and he had found the model number-- exactly the same as what Lucius has!! So we have a double confirmation....he's also checking with a salvage guy he knows for the knobs. In the meantime, we bought some generic knobs at the hardware store that we will try. The rest of the stove is quite worn, so we may be back asking more questions later-- thanks again for all the support!

You jogged my memory regarding salvage. Colaw's RV Salvage may be a good place to check. They have all types of RV parts, new and used. I bought a used Airstream folding table from them and we're very happy with it. Since these knobs were probably used on a variety of RV's it seems likely Colaw's would have them.
