$5.02/ gal for diesel in Orient NY .Its the only show in town for about 20 miles . Not much better there either .Certainly not worth the drive
A friend just moved to Lake Tahoe and called last night .He told me that the most expensive fuel prices he saw cross country were here on eastern Long Island
$3.159 for regular gas
$2.679 for diesel I don't know why I'm grinning, but I've been filling my diesel truck for ages with fuel that cost more than regular gas by.20-.40 cents.
From 5/16/07, post #377... them times are a'changin'...

Gas is now well over the $4/gal mark for 87 octane. 93 octane is a minimun of 4.25 and diesel is at 4.64

Just too damn much!

This is something the various RV clubs (WBCCI, FMCA, BBird, etc.) leadership could get around and present to their represenatives in congress on behalf of their membership. Am sure there are some significant numbers when all taken together... louder voice.
As in WBCCI, more useful to the membership vs. allowing SOB MH in or designating a certain dress code, IMHO.

Right now reg. unleaded is $3.45 in Frisco, but we play this game where fuel prices are very competitive with Denver during the off season times like we're in now. As soon as the summer season, or ski season begins we're suddenly 30 cents per gallon more. I'd expect a 50-60 cent per gallon jump in my area within the next few weeks as camping season starts. The fun of living in a tourist area.

It's already 30¢ more in this western Colorado county—there must be a lost tourist around somewhere. If I find him, I'll give him directions to Frisco.
Come to think of it, I'll be driving through Frisco on Saturday—which exit do I get off on and where's that gas station?
I guess I jinxed myself, the same station today is $3.75, count on $4.00 by June 1st. This station is just off the interstate exit in Frisco. Now the lowest price fuel in the county is $3.61 at the Foodmart in Silverthorne, the worst is $3.98 at Shell in Silverthorne. I was in Denver today and paid $3.60.

I think i got you beat Charlie, gas was 3.23 today at the gas station at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, but it was last seasons gas and it was full service too, lol. I haven't seen that for quite a while. The old pumps they have up there only go up to 3.99 a gallon, so they weren't pumping diesel and probably won't pump gas when they get rid of the 7000 gallons they had left. That's what i was told anyway.
I feel your pain everyone, but it could be worse, you could be buying gas here in NZ. At the moment we are paying NZ$ 1.82 per liter super, and climbing, at todays rates I think that equates to US$ 6.48 a gallon!! My dream of owning a V8 is fading rapidly. At least our diesel is somewhat cheaper.
