Question Montreal Campgrounds

Hi! Does anyone have knowledge of good campgrounds in Montreal? I've looked them up on CampingQuebec.com, and it looks like there are good ones, but there are so many! I need help narrowing our choices down.

For a little info: Our trip will be 2 adults, no children; 2 dogs. We will be going in to McGill University for 2-3 days a week and staying for about 3 weeks. We prefer facilities with dump station, showers, laundramat, and 30amp hook up. WiFi or internet access would be nice.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Hi,

We are from Montreal area, there is plenty of good campground outside the city itself.

You should take a look at laurentian area. Mt. Tremblant is the best place but a little bit far from Montreal. http://www.tremblant.ca/index.htm

We think Le Parc National d'Oka is the good choice for you. it's easy ti go from there to Montreal. take a look at http://www.bonjourquebec.com/us-en/f.../49192134.html

If you want more info http://www.bonjourquebec.com/us-en/r...tegoryid=40916

Hope this will help you and don't hesitate to call us if you want us to visit you, we know Denton area in Texas very well !

Bye!

MAerix - Thank you so much for your reply. I am going to look up those sites. I will let you know what I find. Are you on the road now? Or in Denton? -Jill

Another quick question please: the Parc d Oka looks like a national park. Are the others listed private parks or residential parks? (I'm looking at a listing with lots: De La Diable, Bon-Air, PArc Mont Laval, Boreul, Camping Mirabel.)

We know nothing of the interstates or roads so don't know how much travel time to expect driving in to Montreal.

thnx again, jill

Hi Jill,

No we are not in Denton ! we are in Montreal area waiting for our first Airstream delivery on Saturday maybe !!!

We know Denton because my girlfriend work for Peterbilt truck Co they have plant here in Montreal and Denton...

For the campground you should call them to make sure they have what you need !

By the way, what are you going to do in McGill University ?

Regards
