Been enjoying your travels and the pictures too.

We've been there a couple of times , its beautiful . But the weather can change in a second.

We were there in July '04 it was 75* and sunny so we washed our tow vehicle, next morning we woke up to a snow storm ! Dang, shouldn't have washed the truck ! That probably caused it to snow

BTW thanks for the RV Parky app lead it just made the next trip easier to plan

Hi All,

Lucy is still camped at Colter Bay. Today we went up into Yellowstone to see Old Faithful and the caldrons. We got up into Yellowstone midday. It is still quite crowded. There were a lot of people in the Park and the roads are congested.

That being the case, we still had a nice time seeing Old Faithful again. We went through the Geyser Basin. We always enjoy seeing the boiling pots in the ground.

We came back to Lucy in Grand Teton well before dark. We have gotten Lucy prepped for departure tomorrow.

We are now hunkered in for the night.

Brian

We use Android smart phones and create our own Internet hot spot using an app called FoxFi. This has worked very well for us over the past five or six years. Our own hot spot usually is much better than any wifi offered by a campground. Most often campground wifi stinks. I believe that FoxFi does not work with IOS, only Android. That may have changed, though.

We use the Verizon Network. It is not perfect, but usually has better service than the others, especially in remote areas. When we were camped at Gros Ventre near Jackson, Wyoming, we had usable cell service and created a good hot spot. We talked to two other campers who had AT&T who complained that they had to ride up to the main road to make a call.

Verizon is often the most expensive service. but you're not saving anything if you can't make or get a call. T-Mobile has some great deals as long as you live in a metropolitan area and never leave it. Two of our sons have T-Mobile in Jacksonville and Tampa. They get great service at home. When they come to our house in the Florida Panhandle, they can't make or get a phone call.

Lucy broke camp this morning in Colter Bay, Wyoming, and headed to Cody. The most direct route took us back through Yellowstone National Park. We stopped to see the West Thumb Geyser Basin. We also came upon Elk and Buffalo along the route.

We made it up to Cody by late afternoon. We have stopped here to visit our old friends, Larry and Mary Anne. They have a ranch just outside of Cody. They even have full RV hook-ups at the ranch, so Lucy is quite comfortable here. We got Lucy all settled in, and were treated to a nice steak dinner.

Today's pictures include:

- Lucy and SuEllyn at the Yellowstone National Park sign.
- Elk in the Park.
- Several pictures in the West Thumb Geyser Basin in Yellowstone.
- Buffalo along roadway.
- Rock formations on US 20 west of Cody.
- Lucy camped on our friends' ranch.
- SuEllyn taking a look around the ranch on an ATV.

The last time we went to Yellowstone a Japanese family crawled over the walkway barrier and were walking around the hot springs were your #4 picture was taken, a Ranger had a hard time convincing them to stay on the walkway due to the language barrier.

Brian, We want to go back so badly. It's been a dozen years or so since we've been to Yellowstone. Thanks for reminding us why we love it so much.

Aerowood, it seems that every few years someone is seriously injured or killed by bison around there for apparently the same reason, posing with bison or moose would seem to be a bad idea. But the language barrier is a real issue. I wonder if common sense has language boundries......
Yet Robert Sunrus is in Montreal trying to navigate through detours written in French while towing his AS. No doubt it can be tough to be a tourist in a different country with a foreign language! Hey, that's why we just bought an AS, to see this beautiful land.

Lucy is still camped in Cody. We spent the day visiting with our Friends, Larry and Mary Anne. They were kind enough to let us use their washer and dryer. We did several loads of laundry, and are all caught up.

This afternoon we drove into Cody to ship some Moose Tags at the Post Office. We also made a Wal-Mart run and got supplies.

Larry and Mary Anne met us at Wal-Mart and they showed us around town. We stopped for supper At Proud Cut Saloon in Downtown Cody. They have a great, albeit too big, hamburger.

We got back to Lucy right before dark.

Today's pictures include:

- A view down the hill from Our friends' ranch.
- Fred and the girls relaxing at the ranch.
- The art deco Cody Theatre.
- Clouded tucked into the mountains on the way back to the ranch after a rain storm.

Lucy is still relaxing at our friends' ranch near Cody. We had any easy day today. We got up late, hung around the trailer, and generally took it easy. We went into Cody this afternoon. We hit Tractor Supply Company for some new hose fittings for Lucy. We did the Dollar Tree for some batteries. We stopped at Sierra Trading Post to look at the sporting and camping goods. In Downtown Cody we visited the famous Rocky Mountain Discount Sports to peruse their massive selection of guns and knives.

As we headed back to the ranch, we stopped at Wal-Mart to take on a supply of beer and ice cream.

We got back to the ranch in time for pizza with Larry and Mary Anne. Mary Anne is leaving in the morning to go see her mother in Blaine, Washington. We said our good-byes to her tonight. We plan to stay another day or two to keep Larry company.

It started to rain here at the ranch, and we settled into Lucy for the night.

Today's pictures include:

- Cody Rodeo car that announces that the rodeo is about to begin. Thry rodeo here every night in the summer.
- Park County Courthouse i Cody.
- Downtown Cody at Rush hour.
- Neon fish restaurant sign in downtown Cody.
- A new meaning to horse's rear end.
- A storm gathers at the ranch.

Lucy is still camped at our friends' ranch near Cody. We made a run into town to do a few things. We came back to the ranch early.

Fred and the Girls all got a well deserved bath this afternoon. It took quite a while to accomplish as everyone was really dirty. Fred and Ethel were especially dirty from running around the dirt roads. We have been on the road for a month now, so a baths were in order.

We finished up right before dark. We had dinner with our friend, Larry, and have now settled into Lucy for the night.

Once again, pictures are failing to upload. I will try tomorrow.
