Your current site looks good. I hope it's as peaceful as it looks. Too bad about the surrounding area.. Whew, I'd have been looking at plan B also.

Gettinaway, it was so peaceful I stayed an extra night. I gotta say, this is a very nice campground. It is very clean, very quiet and the sites are huge and private. And it is beautiful. Unfortunately, there ain't much to do, considerin the area, so it's pretty much good for relaxin.

Should be in Virginia by this evening! Though I will probably make one more stopover to break up the drive before gettin all the way home.

Have a great day, y'all.

The Pipestem Park I mentioned before in West Virginia is on the way too, as another option.

Not your style of boondocking, but supposed to be a gorgeous SP according to an old family friend.

Travel safe . . .

Hello please tell me where to go.

I actually just went most of the way and stopped at a Walmart near Kingsport for the night and then headed home in the mornin! It was nice and cool but a lil rainy. Good to be back in beautiful Virginia, where we got the friendliest welcome center around!

Glad you are close to home. Take it easy the rest of the way. We have argued about too many accidents this season. Just slide on in and rest a spell. We'll sit tight and wait for the next adventure. So cool you shared this trip with us. Looking forward to seeing your smile someday. Pat

Thanks, y'all. There's a fire in the fireplace, some whiskey in my glass, some music on the stereo and some pretty decent company, too. I am home and Virginia is beautiful.

Good night.

T h a n k s !

Dear TravlinMan,

On behalf of all of us who have enjoyed your shared travels here recently, thanksthanksthanks for your lovely travelogue. (I agree wholeheartedly with the earlier post suspecting you of being the incognito version of Charles Kurault.)

PLEASE make another trip soon, and please keep us with you. Camera, laptop, updates, photos, text, recommendations and reviews --- your trip updates are just priceless. And seriously, if you should collect a few more and consider a travel book, well, I happen to be good friends with a book publisher.

Welcome home, thanks again!
k.

Glad you are safely home.

I've enjoyed your pictures and the narrative of your trip.

Home is good, too.
