The Prelude:

The time is now:

Before I reveal the winner, I want to congratulate ALL the forum members who took the time to submit a photo(s)! I have been following the photo contest for years and have enjoyed looking at the submissions, yet now that I am the judge, seriously, those pictures take on a whole new meaning! I was hesitant to accept the responsibility, but now after scrutinizing all the photo's...., it gives new meaning to what your looking at or for! I would willingly do it multiple times over, in fact, It has given me some possibilities for new themes should I ever win again. I have enjoyed this immensely! For that, I thank all of you.

Additionally, let me say..., we have a multitude of very talented photographers out there, and I really would like to meet all of you and see more of your work/hobby. I suppose I am also a conscientious person in that I would like to tell each and every one of you why or why not, but that would take forever, non-the-less your all winners, it truly was difficult to decide.

In the end, we actually ended up with five judges. While at this rally we are at, a friend stopped by, wanting to know if my wife & I were ill b/c we've been holed up in the trailer for hours each day for the last few days "laboring" over the pictures (get it?). Well then that person became very interested in the photos also, and started giving her unsolicited opinions (which helped a lot).

(to be continued....)

Honorable Mentions

Before I go any further and let you know the winner, I would like to give two very HIGH honorable mentions! I really couldn't choose them as winning photos b/c no airstream was in sight, but their photos....., well collectively by the judges, needed recognition. First is c_lewis77, the shrimp boat... incredible (too bad you couldn't have backed your AS into the water and paddled into the picture).

Secondly: Flyatnight, the table decorations you did. The intensity of colors were also incredible (if only you had included some vintage airstream lights, well, we could have argued that point and it's validity).

Thanks to both of you for your creative contributions!

Terry

And The WINNERS ARE:

Now: WHO WON? It literally was an eight way tie. We just couldn't decide which was better than the other. Each valid in it's own right, we couldn't even place a second, third, etc. and the winner actually won by the luck of the draw (of a straw)! Those eight winning photo's are (in no particular order):

nilesrob (post #179);
valmog (post #38, picture #3);
wheel interested (post #83);
uzzah (post #55);
c_lewis (post #19);
toastie: (post #88);
ASwifey (post #24;

And this months winner of Color Wonderful, and Septembers new Judge is:

HiHoAgRv (post #3)

Thanks for a great month,

Terry

(My sincere apologies for not posting the other seven winners pictures, but the server here is so bad, I've been trying for several hours trying to load them, but unfortunately am unable to, however they all deserve a second look!)

LOL~!

I should have backed the FaN into the banquet hall.

Thanks for giving the pink trailer trash with flash tablescape an Honourable Mention.

Congratulations to the winner! Nice job, all!

Well deserved win from HiHo. Lots of great photos this month from all across the country. Makes me want to get out and see some more sights out the window of my AS. This is why I love the contest. Cant wait to see the photos for September. Thanks again to Steelegood for a great contest. (even if I did not win)

Chillipoints, your AVATAR looks like a good entry for the September theme.
