Hey RangerJay: This last picture reminds me of a rally that we went to in July in Maggie Vally, TN. Some of us went to the "Folkmoot" festival. Vibrant colors, plenty of ancestral music and dancing.... unfortunately they wouldn't let me pull my AS into the arena for some pictures. If you ever get the chance, you might want to check it out. Not necessarily a "bucket list" item, but if your in the area, it's worth seeing.
Terry.

Jay,
Great pictures, I especially like the one at Signpost Forest. I do need your help though, my wife caught me looking at the one from Diamond Gerties Saloon and asked what I was surfing. I told her there was an Airstream in the photo somewhere and I was just having a hard time finding it. I know it must be there, can you help a guy out and give me a hint where to look?

LOL - certainly - the Airstream is just barely out of the picture .... I think off to the right ..... a couple of miles out of town ..... and just over the horizon .... at the Bonanza Creek RV Park .....
If you are heading up to Alaska - and enjoy dinner theatre or stage entertainment then there are a few (similar) places you will not want to miss - Diamond Tooth Gerties in Dawson City is one - others are: - Beaver Creek Dinner Theatre in Beaver Creek, Yukon
- Frantic Follies in Whitehorse, Yukon
- Soapy Smith Theatre in Skagway, Alaska
Frantic Follies and Soapy Smith Theatre are the best - mainly because they are musical plays with a strong historical context (meaning you actually learn something .....).
All of them allow cameras - I made the mistake of assuming they would not - and missed some great shots at the Frantic Follies.
I'd attach some extra pictures - but don't want to get you into trouble with your wife - the Airstream would be a little tough to find in those ones as well .....

Ok. Here is my humble submission. It's nothing too impressive considering the location or condition of the trailer but this was just after I put a new window on the street side.

Big Sur
I posted this on another thread and a viewer suggested that I enter it here. I had forgotten about this picture which I took a couple of Augusts ago. We had been staying in Carmel volunteering at the Pebble Beach Concours and decided when we pulled out to wander down to Big Sur. This is Kirk Creek Campground in the south part of the Big Sur. It is a US Forrest Service campground and a VERY popular place. Reservations are highly recommended but since half the sites are 'first come first serve' and your planets are in line and you arrive early-ish in the morning you may get a campsite. There were 2 sites left but we could only fit in this site. Since we were so 'lucky' we did not give the spot up for a few days. When it was departure time hopefull campers were parked up on HWY 1 and walking into the campground to stake out sites that were going to be vacated.

Yeah that site was steep! I was even thinking of pushing the picnic table up against the door and have a deck. Never got the front high enough to totally level the trailer. Fridge worked ok and our heads were higher than our feet in the beds. The campsites are not all (about 60ish) trailer friendly. All the sites have a fantastic view. It's worth the 'jockeying' of your trailer to camp there.

Hi, WOW this month's contest has been so great and so many wonderful pictures to share. Sadly it is coming very close to ending. With this many entrants, the winner should be very proud. [I feel sorry for the judge. LOL]

Hey Bob:
Your right, there are so many awesome pictures it IS going to be difficult! I posted earlier this month that I ask my family for their input, aka: pseudo judges. Well, at the onset the debates began . I personally find it amusing that four people living in the same household for almost a quarter century, that our perceptions, given the "contest rules", vary to such great extents! We finally settled on the "should of, could of and what if's" don't count! One daughter thought she had "made her choices" until other great pictures came in (thanks colberjs and Neil! LOL).
To everyone else, it's not too late to "throw the judges off kilter" at the last moment!
Ranger Jay remarked that a particular picture couldn't be entered b/c it was black and white. Well, that set off another productive debate at the judges table. I used a picture of an automobile window (black) that had those stick figures of "their" family (white), however it was titled "The A$$ Family". Guess I have a warped sense of humor, but Natalie said I could not post it on the Forums !
I'm lovin' it!
Terry.

I'm thinking these are the best, and should be considered for the winner
But thats if I was judging

OK, just to let everyone know, we've narrowed our winning pictures down to just about #110! Only about 45 more minutes, and this months contest is over!

May I please sneak this one in for the August contest? It was actually taken August 24th, but I forgot all about it until I was reviewing and transferring photos today.
Not a p[roblem if I'm late.

Hey everyone:
Just wanted to update you regarding the pictures and winner. We are out camping at a rally with about 100 other trailers, there is only one server for everyone to use, ergo, just waiting to download the contending pictures, is taking time! If nothing else, I hope the suspense is keeping you on the edge of your gaucho, or wherever else you happen to be sitting? ;-)
