Formica source for table, etc

Hi,
I am looking to purchase small pieces of formica to do the table top and cover a wall in the bathroom. After sarching the internet, I have not found a place that sells small pieces. Does anyone know a source for those? The maker of Formica has some nice retro styles but they don't sell to the public. My local HD does not carry it.
Thanks,
Cris

we ordered it special order from our Home Depot (the 50's designs) in a wide range of sheet sizes, and they were at the store in 4 days. Might talk to someone different, as I'm guessing special orders like that can be done at all stores.

Formica

We ordered Formica through Home Depot but we had to take a 4' X 8' sheet. Google Formica or Laminate and you may be able to identify an acceptable pattern and supply the number to HD. Also, HD has books that show the various patterns available. We weren't able to exactly match our '78 but it is close enough and an improvement over the bulging and cracked original refrigerator insert.

Hello,

We went to a cabinet shop and they helped us. They had lots of sample tiles to look at. Once we found what we wanted they helped us order it. Later we wanted an extra piece (small) and hubby just happened on another cabinet shop, but because we had the tile we originally ordered from he could check to see if they had just the exact same thing. We found a piece for something like $3 and it worked great for what we needed!

Good luck.

Has anyone done the aluminum ribbed trimming on a formica table? I was wondering how was it to make the curves at the corners? Also, can you add a new formica on top of the old one?

Good day Christina ~

We applied the ribbed aluminum trim and are very happy with it. We purchased ours from Outwater Plastics (outwater.com). Fortunately, they are located here in town adn i went and picked it up. As you are probably aware, it is a 'T' moulding shape and to make the curve, you must remove the 'T' in the section that curves. We put the moulding on the table, galley and bathroom edges. Good luck on your application.

Wilsonart also makes an "Indie" line that is very interesting.
